Color me interested, though not quite interested enough yet to subscribe. Are the CW shows going to be on it? I haven't seen anything about that yet, and if they can put up new seasons earlier than Netflix I'd definitely be more interested.
"Read comics on your TV" has to be the least appealing idea in all of comics history. Tablet, sure. TV, no. But it sounds like a sensational idea compared to hearing the app will have a message board. If every other comics forum message board ever is any indication, this will immediately fly off the rails.
I really haven't liked reading comics on my Kindle Fire. The screen is just too small compared to the size of the pages of American comics. Not sure that people are going to enjoy looking for the button on a remote control they will have to find to flip the page for reading comic books on a TV. It also seems like a format question because TVs are wider than they are tall but comic books pages are taller than they are wide. I get the bad feeling that there might have to be some sort of pan and scan to make every TV something where the lettering will be big enough to read.
I don't know what size Kindle Fire is, but current iPads are about the size of a comic page. So reading comics is very comfortable on it. The only problem is double-page spreads. For those, you have to zoom in to read.
You know, what's funny about this whole DC universe streaming service is Spoiler the TTGO movie's plot involved Slade/Jade Wilson creating an all superhero movie/series streaming service, and than using that service to hypnotize the entire world. And, what's even more funny, is that they mocked the whole darker themes of the superheroes in these movies/tv shows threw the entire film. Especially funny, considering the channel seems to be leading off with darker edgier Robin in the Titans series. Which was the movie Robin wanted to make in the film. It's funny that they made a movie about the dangers of online services, with an all superhero streaming service. The very thing DC/WB is actually doing. Makes me wonder strange things about these streaming services. I could take him a little longer when he was interviewing Stan Lee. lol But, that was mostly because Stan Lee was there too. And, he took up most of the time.
I don't see what's wrong with Kevin Smith nowadays. The guy just lost an amount of weight after what happened earlier this year.
He just recovered from an ordeal like that. The guy had a heart attack earlier this year, he lost all that weight so he wouldn't get another one again. He's just excited about the service as much as we are.
I'm not talking about this video. I'm not talking about post-op Smith. I'm talking about always. I hope his health remains good and I wish him all future success. But he irritates the hell out of me.
So I have a question as I want to get this, but want to be able to watch this on my TV like I do Netflix or Amazon. I do not have a Roku, Fire, Apple TV, etc, as my TV has all the apps installed, like YouTube, Netflix, etc. Will I still be able to watch this on my TV?
What do you have? On the other hand, if you are able to watch Netflix and Amazon right now (I'm assuming you have some sort of Smart TV), than most likely, yes.
