I have to agree. that or bust him out and fix the shoulders IF they need it.

 

Talk to your seller, expose your issue, I had the same problem, both shoulder worked perfectly and after a couple of transformations, they broke. I raised the issue against Nippon-Yasan and yesterday I sended the pictures to them, because Takara ask. We'll see what will they say. Also I pointed to them to check this forum and youtube videos where in one of these, the issue appears after a couple of uses.

 

Selling it isn’t an option. I’m sure a reissue ( if it happens , will be under that amount of time . Especially if Takara knows there’s an issue. ) I think V2 Roddy came out in under 5 years time. We’ll see.

Well...I don’t lol. My thing is , if they do release a “ fixed “ version , I’ll pick that up , then sell the V1 for a small hit of the price . It’ll be up to the buyer to see if he’s willing to fix it if it needs fixing . I did the same with Rodimus when he first came out , so this is no different of a situation for me .

 

Yeah, but what if they never do a reissue? You wouldn't be able to ever open your copy because the possibility of a reissue will always be there.

 

Has anybody noticed how Art Deco Dinobot is? I didn’t think about it when I watched the show, but on the shelf it’s striking. Look at say, the Chrystler Building, Fritz Lang’s Metropolis, 20’s sci fi pulps. Even his color scheme fits.

In short I love him he is actual art.

 

I completely agree that it is unacceptable from Takara. With prices heading north of $200 they have to exercise better quality control. I buy Hot Toys and very rarely have I had a paint blemish or electronic malfunction and even then Sideshow replaces painlessly. The last few Masterpieces I've bought all had problems. I actually bought 3 MP Megs and they all had major flaws.

 

So after reading how frequent the issues are, I have a question. Amiami has offered to replace the item if I send back and they'll even reimburse return shipping.

My question after reading about how many people seem to be having this issue is that should I try to fix the shoulder myself first and the paint issue so I don't have to return? It looks like mine can be fixed and I don't want to end up with something worse.

The paint blemish on the head will be a harder fix though. Would Amiami replace a second item?

 

Return yours. If you're new one has a wonky looking shoulder .. Fix it.

 

Maybe try asking for just a new head ..

 

If Nippon-yassan(well, Takara...) accepts my Dinobot, I don't know what to do, accept money or accept another figure (and never transform to be afraid to broke it...)

Yup. Toys, even ones that cost 100s of dollars, are meant to be played with.

 

So has anyone else done the unspeakable thing of leaving the robot mode hands transformed when he's a raptor for a little bit of original toy accuracy beast mode? Next time you transform him from bot to beast it's worth leaving that step until last just for a kick lol.

 

Yeah definitely seems like a cool accessory for display.

 

Love this guy, he's my favorite so far. Bring on Megatron!
