Guys, if I want to give up my collection of about 1,500 transformers worth about $40K, any idea who I can sell it to? Will toy shops like RoboRobo be interested? My collection ranged from the earliest Beast Wars onwards to the latest movie toys.

 

Toy shops used to offer consignment cabinets like those Toy Outpost branches, but those have gone out of fashion after Carousell happened.

 

Unless it goes for real cheap with the rare pieces going for a higher price, I dont think anyone would be interested to buy over a collection. I am not sure selling by series would help.

 

Hard truth, IMO the only TFs with value are vintage G1 and those gold plated convention/lucky draw prizes etc.

Most stuff from RiD onwards (circa 2000) can easily be found, even for MP. + Hasbro/Takara keep churning out old molds in new repaints (Armada Unicron). See how many times they reissue MP OP and G1 reissues etc.

 

OG People's Park had POTP Novastar, no discount though.
