How come they all looked like hardcore Tarn fanatics?

I think they look great and would be very tempted to pick them all up. Always loved the Insecticon colour scheme and these would bulk out Decepticon forces nicely. I wouldn't want them to be much more than deluxe size though, they'd get pretty pricey to get the set otherwise and take up a lot of space. But as a group of five fairly small robots I'd be in.

I’m a big fan of generic troops, so I would definitely be interested. I’d love to have a couple of these Dreadnoughts being led by Tarn. That’d be nice.

I love this. The Insecticon deco is great for genericons, though I’d be down with gold over the yellow. And, their alt mode looks a ton like FoC Soundwave, and that’s a pretty cool model to work from. Oh, and there’s a dog! ^.^

I dig the Wolverine schtick from Claw Hammer, and Crank’s face plate is pretty cool, too.

But, I just really want a more fembot looking Wrench and dynomutt Gear Chomp as a duo.

If these had a lot more of a Predator look like the DOTM Dreads they're based on, and had a color scheme that didn't belong to the Insecticons; I'll consider these, but as it stands now, I not all that interested.

Like i said previously they looked just like Tarn wannabes lol. Which isn't a bad thing actually.

In my head canon, I'd imagine if Tarn didn't passed away in the current IDW TF universe, he would've raised a like minded fanatical 'Con movement to replace the DJD.

Cassy said that the head designs come from how he thinks the dreads all looked like they had elements of the decepticon logo in them (I don’t personally see it but that’s what he saw). The fins on the back and the color scheme are obviously referencing insecticons, which is because the original crankcase dotm figure had those huge mandibles that could flip out and it made him look very insecticon like. Someone pointed out that the dog design he made works for a g1 hatchet but also looks like a g1 underbite from RID

I'm always interested in getting more generic/original characters. Do some work on those head sculpts (get rid of the Decepti-spikes and dreadlocks) and they'd be easy buys for me.

I don’t think they need to ditch the Decepti’ Emblem Horns, but maybe shortening the two inner horns quite a bit would be a better balance. Now, that might make them look even more like Tarn, but that’s not a bad thing.

Moreover, I didn’t even notice that they had some molded hair in the back of the head sculpt! While it looks more like cornrow braids than dreads, I dig it. It separates them from your average figure, and it is true to the characters.

I'm also down for these without Insecticon Colors. Or maybe with them. I'd honestly need to see a real test shot to decide unfortunately. I'm interested, but not in a sense of "I NEED THESE NAOW!" Maybe in movie Dread colors I'd be swayed more, I'd like to see how they look with it.

I'm not really seeing the Dreads in these designs. They just look like generic Decepticons. Maybe if they had more Dread-like heads and a color scheme that's not Insecticon-flavored I'd be more interested. But right now, no, I just don't really need them.

I'm in, also give me an Autobot retool/redeco, as my CHUG collection could use some generic Autotroopers

I like the designs but the tiny feet always make it a hard sell.

Geartooth could do with some bigger paws, as could the rest of the line.

Though, I dunno if each Dread would come with a full array of parts to effect all of them, or if they’d each be individual listings.

So after looking over these, the weapons, hands and feet are all too small. I'll buy them if things are stepped up and they stop looking so dainty.
