According to TFWiki, there was a running change to SS01 Bumblebee during its retail run, fixing most of the problems. I'm hoping this is carried over to the later releases.

You'd have to "build up" a pretty good argument.

Dial is an Iguanodon. He doesn’t LOOK much like one, but check out the packing art. Thumb spike.

And I still blame you Chris. You could have prevented this.

While I am not the biggest fan of the Movie aesthetic, customizable Transformers rev my engine. It reminds me of MMC's Megs. I still flip him between modes with all his different bits.

That also made me think back to the listener question about non-transforming transformers. I don't think there is anything wrong with having them as an option, but as much as it may annoy Vangelus I am one of those fans that just won't be interested. I have a lot of toys, so most of their time is spent on the shelf, but every day I am grabbing one or two and changing their modes. I have an equal number of figures (about) who are in alt mode vs robot mode right now and I don't derive the most fun from posing, I prefer the transforming. MMC Meg's is about as close as I am willing to get to an Action Figure of a Transformer, I like the custom parts, I am ok that the Alt Mode is kind of nothing, but if it wasn't there for me to convert to I probably would have gotten bored with Megatron by now. I guess I would be ok with sacrificing alt mode appearance for robot mode appearance as long as the conversion is there. And in the case of Beast Wars Dinobot has amazed me to the point where I am not going to blink at a $200 Airrazor or Blackarachnia. I'll just assume the value is in the engineering to get both modes so accurate with a magic transformation.

As a college student who lives 5-2-1 pretty much constantly, I feel like I could probably handle 3-2-1 for a con under normal circumstances. That said, I’ll literally be coming immediately off of a week long energy intensive trip/competition for class (literally flying from the university where it’s at to Chicago), and have to be back in class at 10:45 am the Monday after the con soooooo...

I'm pretty sure the articulated Nendoroids are all American properties. I haven't done a deep dive, but I'm confident this rule holds. Not sure who the logic of this rule is being meaner to.

-EDIT- Wait, wait nevermind, I just found a Monster Hunter one with joints. Kirby is one thing because how?, but I kinda wish they made the jointed ones a different subline because it's such a crapshoot.

I just realized that packing Dile and Saur with Studio Series Bumblebee is a genius marketing move. By the time they released the revised version of Bumblebee, everyone had given up on that toy, so Hasbro needs to give them more incentive to pick up the recolors. So they rerelease him in a convention exclusive pack with two rare G1 cassettes, which gives even the people who hated the original incentive to pick him up, if only for the rare cassettes. And as they transform it for the eBay photos, they realize "Hey, the joint tolerances are way better on this. Maybe they fixed the problems I had before." Then they see that they're releasing him again with movie accurate colors and/or with new interchangeable parts and think "You know, this is actually a really good toy when it's not falling apart on me. Maybe I'll pick up that rerelease."
