Isn’t it obvious? “Prowl” is actually... Spoiler Shockwave Think about it: Logical, one eye, gun (Vamparc Ribbon) stuck to his arm. Who else could it be? Maybe at the end of Unicron, Shockwave gets sent back in time again, realizes the error of his ways, then kills Prowl and takes over the identity to use in an attempt to interfere with his own misguided scheme.
Love those Blur pages. It's such a perfect "Flash finale" that really gives him a wow moment before the end. And really even kind of gives him a Barry Allen like end. Also, really loved seeing Strongarm added to IDW too. Makes me want a premium paint app version of her RiD figure. Or it's a reminder of how thin the line is of logic for him to become like Spoiler Shockwave. So the missing eye is a reminder to watch his step to not become the thing he's been fighting against that he's been questionably on the line of for so long.
Calling it now for Spoiler Blurr's sacrifice for best Unicron moment next to the titular character transforming "The Movie" style. Damn that hurt to see.
Oh, fuck me! Dammit, Blurr was was in my top 5 favs in the IDW-verse! Him, Starscream, Prowl, Drift, and Ratchet were there, with Prowl, Starascream, and Blurr being the top 3. Fuck, first Mirage and Nightbeat, now Blurr...Shit, and this was my favorite version of Blurr too. I actually asked Alex Milne about this two months ago when he said he had just finished drawing a character going out a "hero's death". Alex Milne on Twitter Well, Blurr...You almost made it...You just had to stay alive for three more issues and you'd be in the clear, but you had to go and play the damn hero. RIP, buddy...
If this was the actual ending to Unicron and I knew it for certain, I would buy 100 copies of the conclusion just on principle.
Darn what a way to go Blurr that’s gotta be one of the bast death’s I’ve seen in the IDW continuity. Nice to see Strongarm too one of the few characters I actually enjoyed in RID
It kinda bugs me how they keep mistaking the Maximal as "rogue/zombie" Eukarians, when clearly they served Liege Maximo and hid under their bestial disguises. Seems like they still have the stigma against bestial transformers.
Only a few characters (and us, the audience) know about the whole "Liege Maximo's Maximals" deal. And even then, exactly what distinguishes the Maximals from regular Eukarians aside from their transformation is iffy. After all, Centurion and the Axalon crew were said to be Maximals, but they don't have that transformation ability.
That's true. It would be hard to distinguish them. I just thought since the Eukarians have more metal-like beast modes and the Maximals are more organic-like they would be an obvious difference between them.
With Optimus Prime involved, the fate of Cyberton has never been in doubt ...... Wait.... wrong universe or ..... is it? Edit: I suspect the involvement of Michael Bay somewhere.
