I at least hope that by the ending we find out what the deal with the Arisen is.

It's the mirror universe version of The Fallen, duh! ;)  His armor pearly white with gold and jewels embedded, instead of rusty black, and instead of flames he is surrounded by a halo of heavenly light. :D

I gave up on the IDW verse a long time ago. I realized quite early during Dreamwave that the reason I liked TFs but never got into any DC or Marvel comic is that it had consistently two (and later just one) writer(s), so continuity was adhered to, people did not switch personalities with every new writer's arrival, and the stories did not suddenly turn into something totally different with soft reboots. IDW started going down the drain first with Shane's All Hail Gagatron, then came Costa, then a split with Barber and Roberts with the two comics stories connected by really flimsy editing (but mostly continuity was kept intact by the storylines being so far removed they might as well have taken place in different realities). Then came the other big crossover event when IDW got greedy and thought they could start giant comic franchises around other minor 80ies/90ies properties banking on nostalgia (and look now just how many of those actually became an ongoing comic), further messing things up in the TF comics for those who did not care to have so many puny fleshlings and disgusting organic aliens in a TF comic... :p
I often wonder, had Pat Lee not spent his employees money on Porsches and hookers, would the DW comics be like this too, now? I mean they were doing TF/GI Joe crossovers right when the company went belly up, so likely yes.

    Preview for Unicron #4:

    Preview: TRANSFORMERS: UNICRON #4

Poor Blurr. At least he saved a lot of people...unless the narration implies he’s arrive, but in pieces. And we get to see Strongarm!

Yeah, I'm going to point out, in those spoilers; they only posted images from Unicron 4 and LL 23, and we know for a fact that at least 1 of those characters he says died does in fact live, thanks to solicits. Additionally, those Bumblebee rumors sound like complete and utter bullshit.

So, I wouldn't worry just yet.

Damn, I wanted to see a Transformers parody of that song for ages.
Naturally the hibachi dealer with the prosthetic lips is the Fallen. And "Black is White " means Primus was evil and Unicron was good all along! :D
That is silly. TFCC comics are not in continuity with anything else but themselves. Hasbro might own the TF franchise, but not the comics. They cannot retroactively say that "oh btw multiverses no longer exist.
Need I also remind you, Re-Generation One ended with ALL the Hot Rods of the multiverse, including the IDW version of the character, joining in to defeat the corrupted Matrix.

What bloody point is it in introducing Strongarm in one of the last issues of the whole IDW series? Apart from the writer likely hating RID and wanting to kill her off...

So.... I'm looking forward to reading the next issues of this. If only because I'm enjoying the running theme of 'what price will they pay to stop Unicron?'

No mystical deus ex machinas, just whatever they have versus a myth turned real. With the power to back it up and not Shockwave's manipulations

As @Sol Fury and @Chris McFeely have pointed out.

The spoilers for the remaining two issues might very well be fake. So @justiceg it might not be the dumpster fire you think.

To be fair, if that was going to be a death, I would definitely write the solicitations to avoid spoiling that death. (Marvel did something similar many years ago when they killed Wonder Man in Force Works, and had 2-3 months worth of fake solicits for his own title, which instead got cancelled at issue 6)

If I was a fan of Wonder Man, I’d be annoyed, although it is a clever way to hide a characters death.

Didn’t Marvel do this for the X-Men wedding as well, where, using misdirection, got Rouge and Gambit married, instead of Kitty Pryde and Colossus

Some time ago on these forums I published a list of all my favourite Transformers characters - I can't remember why or what prompted it, but I'm pretty sure John Barber has printed it off and is using it as his kill list.

If that were the case, I feel they wouldn't of written the solicit with anything more than a vague "End of the era", like how Lost Light has been doing.

It's not silly. Hasbro effectively "owns" the comics. They license their IP to the comic creators. While IDW can sell the comics, obtain profit from the comics, and use images, ideas, concepts, etc. of the Transformers in the comics, at the end of the day Hasbro has the right to intervene and approve or disapprove of how their stuff is being used. There's a much better than zero chance that everyone, INCLUDING the TFCC people, had to run the comics by Hasbro for approval before printing their comics.

Also, @Jalaguy didn't say that multiverses don't exist. He said "multiversal singularities" don't exist anymore.

Once upon a time, the "13 Primes", "Primus", and "Unicron" were imagined as singularities across realities. In other words, there was no multiple Unicrons. Every Unicron was the same Unicron across dimensions in time and space in an omniversal omnipotent sort of way even if they looked and acted different. The TFCC comics eliminated this, so every Unicron is now an unique Unicron, and so on and so forth. As far as I am aware, this is accepted canon at this point, and resolves the sort of stupid paradoxes that multiversal singularities can cause.

Not too long ago, there was a supposed plot leak for the 4th Avengers movie and it was just TOO ridiculous to real cause it was like a fan wrote it. Could be the same thing here.

    Unicron #4 is out.
Very little progress, it didn't feel as dramatic as I would have like it to be: one death out of... I don't know, 10000 max?
And then we get back to Cosmos, wasting two pages for characters which did NOT deserve more than a mention.
I am still waiting for some payoff, but Unicron's miniseries it's getting weaker and weaker.
Stardrive is a good symbol of this continuity, but... I don't know... maybe Unicron will be defeated by Jimmy Pink?

Unicron can only be defeated by the Greatest Hero of Them All.

I dunno about everyone else, but my reaction to
Bludgeon being confirmed to be working in service of Unicron was a big OHSNAP given I'd assumed he was privy to Shockwave's plans.
