    Wow, nice set up!

Constructor looks so puny next to terminus with that angle though!

Unbox, box. Unbox, box. Unbox, box.
Occasionally I might find the time and space to do a little more.

I don't have much time to enjoy it right now but I do occasionally reorganize it, which is equal parts stressful and cathartic.

Now that the G1 Seasons 1-2 & '86 Movie MPs are close to completion, I've turned my attention to other collectibles. Hoping to wrap everything up in the next few months, aside from whatever scattered few MPs remain after the new year, like XTB MotorMaster and a few FT releases (Warpath, Aerialbots, etc).

I sit quietly in the toy room, and look at each one. I only transform the ones that don’t have complicated collection. I just like having them. They make me happy.

I guess the way I do it is by re posing my figures once in a while. I always feel like I wish I could do more... But I don't cause there ain't nothing else to do.

Same as these two. But I really like taking the pics for fun, trying to reenact scenes or tell little stories. I hope others enjoy the pics as well.

I moved last year to a bigger place, with my own toy room. I've already filled up all my shelves (one detolf, one bookshelf, and a desk). I'll probably add another detolf sometime.
My legends are on my desk ( with random overflow below them). MP and Macross in the detolf, and chug on the bookshelf.
All of my G1 to BW are in totes.
Almost forgot, my Alternators are on a rack/shelf thing along with my Kreo Transformers. This unit also has cars and figures of Rorschach, the Bunny from Donnie Darko, Darkness from Legend, and Medieval Spawn.
I also have a photo table in the room where I transform, pose, and shoot. It always has figures on it.

I like the picture taking aspect, as well. Almost as much as the collecting part of it. I'm using a 10 year old point and click at this point, so I get what you were talking about. Though... I still feel happy with some of the shots I capture.

Also I like to read up on/find out about TF and TF toy history (the TF episode of 'The Toys That Made Us', for example), or chatting with other members about what ever thread here on the boards.

Transform, pose, group together, take photos. Try to be more judicious in buying. Not regret selling figures that I don't really want to keep, even if it means selling them at a significant loss.

Frankly, when I add to it or subtract is when I appreciate it the most. I look at them again or slightly rearrange them. I *think* about transforming them or revamping my displays at other times, but generally don't do it. Every once in a while I'll walk up to them and admire them. As this thread gets at, I often think about how I should either do more with my collection or get rid of some of it. Relatedly, I recently sold some Hot Toys and as I took them down to box them up I appreciated the detail way more than I ever had standing on display. It definitely made me think about interacting more closely with my collections.

When I have nothing else to do (rare, but happy times) I will find something to do with my collection. Might need to clean or re-sticker something, transform something, pose some guys differently, reorganize a shelf, or switch it up and change to a different line entirely. Plus side is I am NEVER "bored."

Strangely, I don’t enjoy adding to it. As guilt overtakes me every time I hit the buy buttton. But I can’t help it, because I feel the need to have it. However I love playing with the figures I have. Plastic addiction is real in that way for me.

I’ve got two detolfs full to bursting (including the tops for the combiners), a high shelf (for my Giga dinos), and a couple of alcoves on the other side of the room in my kalax…then there’s Omega Supreme and (I assume) Sky Lynx, which my fiancée has said aren’t allowed in the place, so they stay in my old room at my parents 100 miles away… until we get a bigger place. I’d dearly love another detolf, but she’s nixed that idea for now as well.

Anyway, originally the idea was to have one detolf for Autobots and one for Decepticons; however, even though I have more Autobots, individually the Decepticons tend to be much bigger. As a result, I’ve had to purloin one of the shelves in the Autobot cabinet for the Decepticons. As the collection grows, I keep having to reshuffle to make room in a way that makes sense for each display, but some are getting really crowded and some smaller figures aren’t easily visible anymore. I actually don’t mind this as fiddling with the displays is quite fun and lets me handle the figures more often than I would otherwise. If I know a figure is on the way at some point, I try to create a space in advance, but some of the figures that are coming are big boys, so I have to admit that I really have run out of space.

I currently have a record of 19 figures each on both my ’84 and ’85 Autobot shelves, whilst still having all displayed nicely (IMO). Some people might think that too crowded, but I like to think of it as a tight group shot. Got a few more coming at some point though, and then I’m really going to have to be imaginative with the space. I’m already experimenting with clear fishing line to suspend flyers mid-air, but it’s very tricky to get right.

Sometimes I sit back and marvel at the design aspects of the figures. This, plus realizing how fortunate I am to have acquired so many, allows me to enjoy them from a more humble perspective. I am almost to the point now, that if I don't add any more, I am ok.

As I run into problems with space or just flat out don't want to spend as much I find ways to repose figures or redistribute the collection among shelves so it's different ... I am also constantly selling parts of my collection to make room for new things ... I have surpassed what my room can hold and it's pretty full in there ... I find figures or lines I no longer have as much interest in or only bought becuse I was hyped on it . I tend to get really excited about legends scale figures and sell them after playing with only once or twice ... rotating things in and out of the collection all of the time leaves it feeling fresh and different ... it also allows me to collect without spending ludicrous amounts on the hobby too...

Sat down last night and transformed Brawny, Huff, Lambor and Sunsurge from their bot modes to their vehicle modes. Very enjoyable and relaxing.

Love your avatar image. Equalizer panel puller I think? (used to run a glass shop myself).
