If they do Scrapmetal, I hope he turns into the Volvo excavator that was seen on the boat. If that's the case, it's a definite buy for me. Plus, it could be re-purposed into TLK Trench, which is one of my favorite movie designs.

Isn't that pretty much exactly what leader class Blackout did though...?

I mean not really, hes the same height as mesh at the head but he’s much larger in terms of bulk.

Dotm Megs was pretty darn bulky iirc and his alt mode could be a bit smaller than Leader Blackout. Just the same length in alt mode, but much less overall mass.

In Dotm, Megatron's robot mode was only a little bigger than Optimus, but his alt mode would need a leader class toy because he's the cab and trailer. (Vs Optimus only being the cab) so he'd wind up as a kinda small Leader class toy.
I can see two possible solutions
1: since transformers are budgeted across the wave, Megatron could be shipped with a much larger leader class like Demolishor or Jetfire.
Basically an exchange of plastic mass.
2: cloth poncho. What Megatron lacks in mass, is made up for with an actual cloth poncho
