I just checked mine, there's this thin gap on mine when he's in shark mode. In robot mode the legs are fine.
I'll have to check the production code, I'm not sure if I saved the packaging.

My Rippersnapper had that problem too then I used a drop of super glue on the pegs and he's been pretty solid every since, although if I don't have everything lined up just right that gap does come back every once in awhile. It doesn't bother me as much as when I first got it so I'm not gonna do another treatment as it's a little nerve racking to do on pegs

The thin gap you mentioned is normal, even on figures with "perfect tabs" This sort of thing is hardly ever seamless on most figures anyway. The production date code should also be stamped on the inside of the bottom of Rippersnapper's robot mode left leg, but I'd argue it's the condition of the pegs in question that's more important.

Galvatronus has been taken over to become the avatar of Megatronus Prime the Fallen!

    Use the superior leader class

    inorite?
I have thought this for a while and was SURE Punch Counter punch was going o be the first.

I had a thought last night.
what if war For Cybertron works up from 84 - 85... Seige would be the first year or so worth of guys.
Well by 85- 86 we get the combiners.
So it would make sense for their to eb no gimmick/ weaponisers in siege

    BUT

Then bring back the combiner pegs for War for Cybertron part 2... corresponding with say the scramble city teams back on Cybertron, deluxe Cybertronian Constructicons, redos of classic guys with combiner ports like Combiner wars did... THEN

headmasters AND Combiner bring it ALL together in WFC 3 like POPT sort of did.

Engineering restrictions? With the PW3 systems a Headmaster that is a combiner limb would have odd Cardassian looking shoulders.

The idea hadn't occured to me at all but now im interested just from a troubleshooting POV. Suppose they could invert the limb joint, place the titan master slot on the square bit and hide the joint behind the chestplate?

That seems like it would really hurt limb mode. Also there is a lot going on inside those combiner pegs I'm not sure anything could be added to them. The way Shuttle Blast-Off's head works would be a good start at a way to marry the two gimmicks.

Did anyone ever figure out what's up with these things? They don't seem to do anything except mess with the rolling clearance.

Received a big surprise from a rather generous someone. The packaging that came with this toy is almost as incredible as the toy itself. The accessories kick ass.

Fair. I don't know anything about the inner workings of the joints or Blast-Off's head. Maaaybe a mechanism where the chest and back separate, allowing either gimmick to flip around on a tumbler? Kinda like those MMPR action figures that had the regular head on one end and the helmet on the other? Not that i really have a lot vested in this, but now im kinda curious what a Fortress, Chromedome, Hardhead, Highbrow, Brainstorm gesalt might look like...

Huh, fiddling with it, and I see what you mean. I always leave Moonracer with her roof down as a skirt, so the pegs have always been weird and extraneous to me. Thanks!
