So I just took my Cheetor off the shelf, when I noticed he smelled a bit funny.
As I started posing him, both(!) his arm guards just fell off.

I remembered I'd put some dish soap on him a couple of weeks ago after reading about it being a good way too loosen up tight joints.
It seems like the soap made the plastic as brittle as the famed gold plastic of the 90's. Sigh

Just checked the soap bottle and the detergent is Alkyl based.

Let this be a cautionary tale for those that want to use dish soap on their figures.
Perhaps someone with more knowledge can shed some light on which soaps we can and can't use safely.

 

This should be cross posted in the MP Dinobot thread. A bunch of people used dish soap on those gappy shoulders based on the posts I have seen

It's strange that Cheetor wasn't on display at WonFes. My theory? His original run sold out to the extent that not even TT have a spare one.

I highly doubt this, it's ridiculous to suggest that TT didn't keep back some display copies of their own product. They're not some small scale limited production run 3rd party manufacturer! Plus they have a reissue to promote.

 

Another option is they had him backstage to bring out with MP Tigatron, but they got cold feet.

 

More likely I guess but they did have Shadow Panther on display...most likely it was just a simple mistake.

 

The official promo shots are going to be amazing, interacting with the other figures.

 

My RE-issue is in at AE. Now just to wait the usual few days (plus weekend) to pack the thing and send it.

If they fixed them on shadow panther, then there fixed on this. Unfortunately, I only have shadow panther,so I have nothing to measure it against. Honestly,I hope he's an improvement in hand over S.Panther, he didn't impress ne that much.

 

Anyone know if they added the Shadow Panther fixes to the reissue...mine is on route.
