I don't remember which year it was, because like you until this year had no trouble ordering the exclusives, but wasn't it last year or the year before they announced like Star Wars on Monday, Tuesday would be magic/Marvel Legends, and Weds would be the Transformers/my little pony stuff? That was by far the easiest year I ever had and it had to boost Hasbro for the multiple shipping costs. I think it may be time Hasbro opened a Collector Club similar in format to the former TFCC and offer pre-orders of the exclusive to whoever wants to pre-purchase. Then make that many productions and maybe like 1000 extra for the conventions. Then no one is left out, and the only high priced items on ebay for exclusives are ones from years past that just isn't circulated much anymore (i.e. Shattered Glass Voyager Optimus Prime, Days of Past Beast Wars set). Just my $0.02.

 

I got an "order received" so far. I was lucky enough to hit the site before things got bogged down, unlike the 13th. Pretty happy I could get the dude for my POTP corrupted leader display.

Whether it actually goes through or not does not change my opinion on Hasbro not releasing all the Primes in Pretender shells at regular retail.

After 7 hours, I finally received a confirmation email for my order!

 

Now that Aphra is back in stock all day... I'm conflicted. The comic is really fun, and who doesn't like homicidal droids?  

Errr. With shipping it's ~$30 too expensive for my taste. Wish the set was $29.99...

C'mon. Sell out before I change my mind.

This isn't really an answer people can answer for you because people have differences in how much profit they want to make, how fast they want to sell an item, and if they are/aren't willing to keep an item if they don't get their desired sale price.

Personally, I rarely flip things within a week. For old things I have sitting around my strategy is to look at sold listings, sort from highest to lowest and then sell it at the 5th highest price. Whether I do a BIN or bidding just depends on my mood on how long I want to wait and how long I want the listing to go for.

 

Trying to tempt you, the card that the three are on is quite large. Larger than the older trio set boxes from long ago. So that's why they increased the price. *sarcasm*

But seriously, I bought them because the comic (and trio) are really good and was glad to have them in my collection. If you buy them, you'll soon forget that they were so pricey and glad that you have them. Especially BT-1.

Got an order in for Throne of the Primes yesterday, shipped today, and estimated delivery for tomorrow.

I was one of the folks that had my initial order disappear into the system and only got it straight over the phone on Monday.

My FedEx delivery manager informed it shipped this afternoon and is due in VA by Friday.

 

Damn, my order shipped Monday and made it here in Canada in just 4 days. I guess I got my money's worth for the $33 shipping that was the lowest cost option.

 

Got a tracking notification, from FedEx. Mine will be here later today. Hopefully, this will be over soon.

They claim your order ships when your payment method is charged which was Monday, buuut, they told me it was in warehouse fulfillment yesterday and it actually shipped today.
