Heres a sincere piece of advice: If it ever it crossed your mind to enter a career that is based on analytics or identifying human behaviour or even consulting, better think of doing something else, you will be loosing your time otherwise.

Whoof and you said everyone else was being hostile. You know what I'm sorry I did anything to cause that reaction, but I did genuinely think you were being a bit jerky. I don't think anything I said was worth that kind of a reaction, but hey the internet doesn't allow for nuance so much is lost in translation. Hope you have a good day in spite of this.

Playing the smart ass post mortem when the conversation has ended, just to point out fingers is the definition of a Jerk FYI. So yeah well deserved, if you dont like it dont do it. Good night to you too.

::blinks:: But I posted only two hours after you did. I'm sorry I thought this was all still fresh. My bad I guess.

That sounds like sarcasm, but I swear it's not lol.

This whole line went down the toilet ever since we elected Primal for Prime.

    (Yes this is sarcasm)

Part of the issue I had with collecting G1 was the die cast and rubber parts. So many vintage toys couldn't stand up anymore, and the die cast areas were always loose if it had anything to do with moving parts. It was bad enough that I sought out the all plastic versions of toys that gave me the option.

Seriously, I can't see how ANYONE thinks die cast is better. It's the main reason I'm avoiding those Machine Robo toys coming out.

    "Jerk", "smart ass"

By Primus, people is so "brave" behind a monitor. Wonder how many teeth they would still have using those words in person.

    Pathetic.

I wonder one thing though: You would be saying that if you werent behind the monitor? Probably not, not at least without full dental insurance :p

I think he forgot that forums are not real-time communication. I replied to his post after he posted his "I'm done" bit, but before I read it.

Still, I don't see how anyone was being hostile. Things do turn hostile at times but to me this is just an engaging, fun debate.

I think where the toys got to shit was in the prime wars trilogy. With combiner wars reprints were forced on everyone for the sake of releasing them in the line. A lot of the figures weren't good like menansor was underwhelming and the figures and the combiner in self ranged from decent to bad. Superion was a good figure, and the best combiner. Bruticus was fine although some figures were weak. Defesor was cool. Combiner wars was just repaints for characters that didn't really fit.
Titans returns redeems itself by not forcing unnecessary repaints, and we got characters we haven't seen in toy form. Well modernized toy form. The figures look cleaner and the figures from combiner wars look kinda cheap. The toyline also brought back headmasters and unlike combiner wars it wasn't forced and they don't half-ass the figure. Some highlights were Blaster, Six-Shot, the titans, blitzwing and many more. As for power of the primes it repeats the same problem but is slightly better. Also the prime wars removed ankle articulation, why? But nothing to say here but the leader class figures were definitely the highlights.
So I think this is where transformers toys low quality started to show. How we go from RTS jazz to power of the primes jazz? They should of improved from these mistakes. The only reason I think the figures were weak was because this is the first time they tired combining in mainstream again, so there well be faults. And with the siege trilogy coming I think we finally won't have gimmicks holding down a toy.

Ironic that people treat it like a premium feature when it was originally used as a cheap alternative.

Maybe you're just rougher with your toys. The Trendmasters Voltron had alot of ill-fitting plastic parts. The biggest "die-cast" issue for me is the yellow or blue lion constantly falling off when I pick it up. Yes, it's heavy, but so is the other leg and it locks just fine. They just cut too many corners rushing out another run with an old mold at what I recall to be a fairy cheap price. I have the plastic Voltron from the following year and it's just not the same.

I'm not rough on my toys at all, actually. Still have a couple floating around from when I was little in the 70s even. I might concede that I'm unlucky with my toys, but oddly enough the ones without diecast have held up far better than the ones with it.

I think someone gave me the plastic version of Voltron after I'd had the metal for a while. Much nicer IMO.
