I do hope we get this guy in both traditional purple and toy/Marvel colors. I’ll absolutely buy both.

I would be more incline to the marvel/toy so this and TR Galv can represent two different characters

I absolutely agree, I've been dying for someone to do a Marvel comics color scheme. If this figure is of the same quality we've come to expect from the CD line I wouldn't hesitate for a second to double dip.

I hear you, I'm so far down this paticular rabbit hole cross dimension and reformated define my collection. Really can't wait for this Galvatron, looks menacing and powerful like Galvy should. Hopefully he's got a good ab crunch, and they can sneak in some butterfly action with his shoulders.

Loving the new pics. He pretty much is must buy for me. I do hope their upcoming Rodimus is similar in height and overall mass so that they pair up nicely like Striker Manus and Rioter Despotron do.

I have pretty much resigned myself to getting most of the molds from this line, however I am keeping them separate in my collection. They will have their own category, and will probably just remain on my desk for fiddling with. Frankly, they are just too much fun to leave on a shelf, untouched. These figures are meant to be played with, and I can appreciate that!

Oh man, if this guy's the height of Potp Rodimus Combined mode (or whatever it's called), I'll be extra happy....

Still really happy with this. I just hope that the swords can plug in somewhere better. I think they look silly on the cannon, but if I can put them on the arms without the cannon, I think they'd look really cool that way.

Likewise, if released in Marvel colours then I would definitely buy.

In traditional movie/cartoon colours...I have to think about it. Long and hard.

Is there anywhere to go from "bought on sight"? Because I was that way a while ago, and these pics are only reinforcing it.

Yep, “preordered in full!” Same difference, just noting even more specifically that you’ve already parted ways with your dollars, rather than, perhaps, having the funds set aside for when it’s in stock.

Galvatron doesn’t quite do that for me, but it’s still impressive as everything MakeToys puts out.

So, ya know, buy this so MT stays funded until they eventually get around to something I’d get excited about. :thumb

I'd get this, and Galvatron was never on my radar for any reason.

I dunno about this one, but that certainly has more to do with my apathy toward all Galvatron space cannon modes than anything specific to this mold.

I feel like seeing it colour may help things.

I'm certainly keen for their Jetfire, Rodimus and Seekers (if they ever do the Seekers).

If the articulation is as good as Manus and we get a repainted option like this :

So seeing this guy in person at tfnation lead me to acquire a POTP rodimus and I’m in a bit of a conundrum.

See from what I can tell looking at the way Maketoys galvatron scaled with the maketoys seekers he is going to be about a head shorter than MP prime and I thought the two might scale but he’s too big. My problem with rodimus is I have the following requirements (in order of importance.)
    1. Scale with prime/ galvatron
    2. Include all the alt parts (no battle sled)
    3. Turn into a space Winnebago

So it looks like cloud rodimus wins out as he does all but #3. I’m a bit gutted maketoys has decided to make galvatron so big tbh, may end up passing completely and sticking to TR galvy and cloud rod.

Unless the maketoys rodimus is rodimus size and not hot rod size but he is looking awfully MTMTE rodimus style. 65139CB9-A8AD-48AC-BC57-385104EB0440.png

I have to disagree. There is nothing G1 about this or Despotron so the g1 heads look foolish on them

wouldnt cloud rodimus lose by default since he's not a space winnebago and therefore doesn't fufill number 3? a better option may be open and play galvatron, which is a leader scale improved ko of titans return galvatron that removes the headmaster
    Open and Play Galvatron
