I can only rate what I've seen.

G1 (edges out beastwars for nostalgia reasons)
    Beast wars
    Energon
    Cybertron
Armada (so bad I could not finish the series at first. I forced myself to watch the epidoes I missed during a marathon).

    There is my biased opinion.

so what was that huge budget, 2 and a half hour thing I went to see back in July? The rest of my toys arent made of film...

I realize you didnt include them, thats why I put a space between them. Although if we're talking about the quality of writing rather than the quality of toy manufacturing, then I still honestly believe that the tech specs on the Classics and Titaniums are more entertaining than the entire Armada cartoon

I'm talking only the shows here. No toys factored in.

G1 - 7.0 Good times. Good, cheesy times.

Beast Wars - 9.0 Great times.

Beast Machines - 8.0 I missed many of my favorite BW characters, but great none the less.

RID - 4.0 I could hardly watch the dang thing

    Armada - 1.0 I couldn't watch the dang thing. The Prime/Megs fight saves it from a 0.

    Energon - 1.0 Crap

    Cybertron - 1.0 Crap

Recent movie - 8.0 Big dumb fun!

Pretty much anything outside of G1 and Beastwars has been pretty bad. The movie was awesome, but I think this is just about tv series, not the movie.

G1 had fantastic designs, a lot of great voice work, and it while it was cheesy, it was of the good variety of cheese. A fun show with good human characters (Chip Chase aside...). The animation sometimes got wonky, but it's tolerable compared to other shows of the day.

While I don't care for the design of Beast Wars' characters (don't care for the organic animal thing), it set the standard for Transformers TV shows. The CG animation was also very well done. The episode with Transmutate was one of the best works of TF fiction I've ever seen.

The A/E/C trilogy as a whole was pretty bad, though I'll admit I didn't see much of Armada or Energon outside of youtube (I think I'll look those up and give 'em a second chance). Cybertron was...awful. I saw a few Beast Machines episodes, and it was pretty bad. Not horrible...but yeah, pretty bad.

G1 - when it was good, it was good. But too many episodes fell into the formula of "Megatron has new secret weapon / Autobot has personality flaw / Autobot overcomes flaw to save the day" or something similar. There were some extremely good stories in there, but for every Transport to Oblivion there was a City of Steel.
Season 3 - I'm torn on this one. The outer space setting didn't work for me, although Rodimus' development was ace. Dark Awakening was cool, as was Burden Hardest to Bear.
Rebirth / Season 4 - I dislike the Nebulans, Daniel being Arcee's head, but at least there was a cool Fort Max VS Scorponok fight. Fort Max has an awesome intro, though I can see Cerebros becoming very annoying if the series had carried on.

Headmasters - too many characters just showed up to fight, the plot was too hard to grasp too. Lots of things "happened" but there wasn't much impact. Case in point - Convoy's death, Seibertron's destruction. What gets me is how Ultra Magnus falls down dead, in one piece, and can't be repaired, while Blaster blew up and was rebuilt as Twincast.

Masterforce - some dislike it for the fact it's all humans, but I really enjoy it. The characters get a decent amount of development and not every episode is plot centric. Plus it has Overlord. <3 Overlord.

Victory - it gets a little too kiddy at times, but it is really good for action once it gets going. The later episodes are a lot of fun, too. I need to watch it properly to form a real judgement, though.

Zone - the worst part is it is only a one episode thing. It's good - great animation, good action with lots of carnage, humans who mostly stick to the sidelines, too bad though the majority of the cast is helpless against the generals - guess that's how they create tension, though.

Beast Wars - one of the best ever. There was a good mix of everything - development, humour, a likeable cast, an ongoing story which didn't dominate every last episode. Arguably my favourite TF series.

Beast Machines - a good change, the Vehicon drones meant there could be some real carnage, but some elements went too far. The lack of guns for the Maximals, resulting in things like vine bombs didn't work for me, nor did the spiritual edge. The later episodes were good, though the "green" Cybertron at the end didn't work for me. A case of "some change is good, too much change is bad". Still perfectly watchable though and not deserving of half the flack it gets.

Armada - started off badly, but it got better. The series improves a lot in the second half, and the Unicron Battles arc makes up for the earlier episodes. Dodgy animation and too much time spent on the kids, plus forgotten characters (Scavenger? Blurr? Wheeljack?) weakens the case.

Energon - the first half was great, apart from the odd animation error like the Energon tower. It all fell apart in the second half, though. If you watch the series up to 26 and stop there, you've got a good series where the only real faults are Ironhide and Kicker, and they're bearable. Translation was shoddy at times, though - like episode 8 and the "Hot Shot's Blaster" scene. Super Link isn't much better, though - while the bits that were translated wrong make sense now, the underlying problem still remains.

Cybertron / Galaxy Force - some events dragged on too much, and there was too much stock footage, but mostly I liked it. It's not as bad as some make it out to be, though I've not seen the English one. I wasn't fond of the explosions, though.

Movie - I liked it enough to see it three times over :)

Animated - not fair putting this here really but I'm looking forward to this. It should be quite the ride from what I have seen.

    Overall:

    G1 - season 1 - 10, season 2 - 8, season 3 - 7, season 4 - 6, overall - 8
    Headmasters - 6
    Masterforce - 9
    Victory - 8
    Zone - 9
    Beast Wars - 10
    Beast Machines - 9
    Armada - season 1 - 6, season 2 - 8, overall - 7
    Energon - season 1 - 8, season 2 - 5, overall - 6
    Galaxy Force - 7
    Movie - 9
My anticipation of Animated - 10+

At the end of the day, though, all the series get 10s because I watch them to be entertained, and they've never failed at that yet. Every series has moments in it which are totally awesome.

G1 - Seeing as I didn't grow up with it, I can't rate it that high. Still, of the eps I've seen, it was funny and had good story and personalities...the fighting sucked.

BW - Now THIS is a good show. Best of the whole lot pretty much.

BM - Haven't seen it. Not planning to either.

RiD - It's DBZ-style anime. Good action sequences with good laughs. I like it.

    Armada - Haven't seen it.

    Energon - Haven't seen it.

Cybertron - TEH LAME. If they didn't have any stock footage tf sequences, and filled the remaining time with actual episode (and lose the accents), then it'd be decent.

    Animated - Can't wait!

G1 - 7/10. Plots can be cheesy, and I dislike how they went around contradicting some of Bob Budiansky's original intent, but it has real heart and excellent voice work. The Animated Movie itself is fun as part of the Marvel UK run.

Beast Wars - 9.5/10. One of the most perfect TV series ever. Really strong storytelling and characterization.

Armada - 6/10. It starts out as Pokeformers, but Starscream as an anti-hero was well done and Unicron was awesome.

Energon - 5/10. Pretty humourless, though fun to see humans and Transformers working together.

I never saw any of the others. I'm looking forward to Animated, particularly a rookie Optimus.

G1: 1 - can't see what all the fuss is about, other than nostalgia. Only got a point for starting Transformers. If there's one thing I can't stand, it's when people say G1 was a perfect show, or that it was so good and everything else sucks. G1 was horrible, with crappy character development (more than just, this guy's happy, this guy's grumpy), had no plot (no good plot) and awful designs and animation. And aside from like two, all the voices were horrible.

BW: 10 - best series to date, still better than anything to come out.

BM: 6 - as a stand alone non-TF show, it's incredable, but it also destroyed alot of what BW and G1 tried to establish.

RID: 9 - very good, awesome toys both new and old, humourous but not too slapstick bad guys.

    ARM: 4 - shit.

ENG: 5 - had some neat toys and had some cool episodes.

CYB: 2 - Toys were good but the show was so horrible.

ALT: 8 - really nice all together.

UNIVERSE: 7 - for a line than had preety much no original molds, it was neat.

Classcs: 6 - toys were okay.

    Movie: 9.4 - Excellent!

Animated (so far): 9.6 - I rate this from what I've seen, and it looks amazingly fun!

G1 - Can't really judge this one fairly on account of the heavy nostalgia factor. I will agree that it ranged wildly from stupid to great. Overall I'd give it a 7.

    BW - Obviously a perfect 10.

BM - I never finished watching it, but from what I did see I'm going with a 6.

RiD - Silly, but fun and really enjoyable. 8.

Armada - Some very strong moments at the end, but they don't quite make up for all the crap at the beginning. 5.

Energon - Terrible. Worst TF show ever. 0.

Cybertron - I never finished the dub, but I watched and really enjoyed all of Galaxy Force. 8.

G1 (excluding the movie) - Terrible. Other Frank Welker's voice acting and being the catalyst that introduced TFs to the public at large, I can't think of any redeeming features to this show. The writing was awful, plots were thin and/or stupid, dialogue was atrocious, 'characterization' generally consisted of "I have a weird accent and/or power" (exception being Starscream), too much human interference (I don't mind humans in the TF mythos, so long as they contribute something to the stories), Cullen's limited range as a VA, rampant animation errors (something I'm generally willing to overlook if the writing is decent), logical inconsistancies, etc. I honestly can't think of a single episode of the show I actually liked. 1/10 and that's only for being "the first".

G1 (Movie) - Still had a lot of the flaws of the cartoon, but the animation was dramatically improved, characters acted somewhat more logically than normal and many of the battles were excellent. Also had a good soundtrack and I'm glad they killed off Ironhide and Prime so Cullen was no longer doing basically the same voice for two different characters. Gains points with me for introducing Unicron (a concept was has, unfortunately, since been flogged to death) but loses them for introducing a lot of annoying characters and having a pointless second act. 5/10.

Beast Wars - My personal favorite TF series. Superb characterization, thanks to the smaller cast, and more logical plots, especially the subplot with the Vok. The writing was good not only for TF stuff, but for cartoons in general. It looks a bit dated now, but was state-of-the-art at the time and animation errors are minimal. Excellent voice-acting all around. However, I have to dock it a few points for some of the stupid episodes in the first season and the rushed resolution (particularly concerning the Vok plot). 8/10

Beast Machines - I really enjoyed this one, although I can understand the controversy. I thought the writing was better than Beast Wars and it tackled some more complex issues...although it was ham-handed at times. I particularly liked the evolution of Cheetor, Rattrap and Primal's characters. Animation was excellent and I loved the ending; a great battle and a neat change to Cybertron that I wish had been followed in another show set afterwards. I didn't like the reused animation, the dialogue was thin in places, Black Arachnia seemed vastly out of character and I didn't like the amnesia plot device at the beginning. 7/10

Armada - This would have been a great show had it been 26 episodes long and the way things were dragged out killed it a lot for me. Animation errors, human interference, weak characterization and generally bad writing were still present, although not anywhere close to the extent of G1. I liked the character development on Starscream and Megatron, but the rest of the cast was pretty flat. The "Pokemon" aspect of the Minicons wasn't nearly as bad as people make it out to be and the battles at the end of the series were spectacular. Enjoyable, but not a classic or anything. 5/10

Energon - Didn't watch the whole thing, but what I saw was atrocious on all levels. 2/10, for having better animation, at least, than G1.

Cybertron - Again, didn't watch the whole thing. Not as bad as Energon or G1, but dragged out far worse than Armada. The "Pokemon" aspect that people complain about in Armada was far worse here with the Planet Keys. 2.5/10, because it's better than Energon, if only slightly.

Movie 2007 - Amazing special effects and the Transformers themselves looked incredible. The plot had some weaknesses and extraneous characters, but it actually came out better than I'd expected. Very good voice acting all around, especially Hugo Weaving as Megatron, but Cullen definitely shows his limited range (Prime sounds virtually identical to his "Cartoon Network Announcer" voice). I liked the addition of comedic moments to lighten the tone, but a few things went too far. The middle 45 minutes dragged a bit, but did give more personality to the Autobots. Megan Fox was terrible, but Shia LeBouf and several others gave excellent performances. The battle scenes were spectacular, although I hope they cut down the "shaky-cam" in the sequel. 7/10.

G1: 6.5. kinda boring and hard to follow.

    RID: 7.8. Interesting series.

    Armada: 8.9. Possibly my favorite.

Energon: 5.4. I couldn't watch more than 4 episodes. And i didn't even know what was going on.

    Cybertron: 6.9. OK series.

    Overall, I like armada.

Transformers G1: 10.0 Perfect series in every way. Amazing! The character's personalities such as Starscream, Megatron, Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and many others are established with this.
Transformers Beast Wars: 9.0 Really great stuff here with some good character development and story arcs.
Transformers Beast Machines: 7.5 The BW characters seem to lose some of their personality here but still overall good stuff.
Transformers Robots in Disguise (RID): 1.2 Awful stuff. Could not finish the series and didn't really care to.
Transformers Armada: 0.5 SUPER ULTRA MEGA CANNON ATTACK! That is all I have to say.
Transformers Energon: 0.5 Repetitive, boring, awful
Transformers Cybertron: 3.5 A little better but still terrible compared to G1 or Beast Wars.
    Transformers Animated: UNKNOWN
Transformers The Movie (2007): 7.5 Good flow of movie with excellent voice actors coupled with weak storyline and AWFUL robot designs. I would rank lower due to few Transformer lines and screen time for character development but I hope that will be corrected in the second one. Not going to win any Oscars for best movie or director but not bad.

As I look through these I think it is interesting how different some of the rankings are for this. I guess that just proves that we all have different tastes but still like Transformers in general.
