Did you guys miss the part where I said the company itself confirmed it was individual, pre-fixed units that were in the $129 sale? So buy with confidence if you were thinking it would be a single set.

I bought this from TFS and can confirm that you're getting the figures shipped in individual packaging, NOT the box set.

You still need to swap Blindfire's thighs. There were no further release variations after that, so all single-packed Blindfires have the mis-installed knee pins by default.

That's actually just a promo poster. Quantron's box doesn't look like that. His box images are horizontally oriented.

The individual figures are still boxed, so the listing is technically true.

    No worries - thanks :)

    Thanks :)

Thank you :)  BTW, what is that B2.5 Acid Rain sort of looking toy in the backround?

    LOL

Here's a picture of the box for the boxset. That picture that you're referring to is the Sales Flyer.

    No problem, hope it helped!

It's by a company called Joy Toy. They're Acid rain-esq, 1:27 scale with a very Titanfall inspired flavour. I got it from the Show Z Store.

Oh - I've seen those before. I haven't seen that exact one, but other posters have put pictures up.

Your picture did help; thanks again :)  I'm still torn about MT's Computron - there's elements I like more than Hasbro/Takara's, but Computron is one of those guys I just haven't seen a version that is 'definitive' to my tastes. But for $130...

I felt the same way about a definitive take on Computron but I think this will be the best one we will get/have for a few years at least.

I have the Computron Quartet, a clone/KO G1 which I honestly appreciate the changes made to Nosecone, by tapping a center hole for Computron's foot plate to connect on.

    IMG_20140902_203807_384.jpg

Old pic, because obviously my old work mat. But even so, my authentic G1 Technobots never survived being shared with friends back in grade school..

The Warbotron, which despite its scale and impressive detailing I feel is the weaker of the two Third Party options, mostly because it doesn't seem to know what to do with its own accessories and lack of a real Chest plate.

I'm not a fan of Partsforming Scattershot, Plus it just doesn't handle its own weight very well. But It does have the most G1 inspired Afterburner compared to Maketoys' Lightcycle styled character.

And of course Unite Warriors and Quantron like I showed earlier.

Personally , I like Quantron the best because it looks and feels like Computron should.

I actually really like the look of Takara's with the Dream Wave add on, but like I said, at this price... *bites fingernails* It would be great if someone took elements of Takara's, Warbotron's, and MT's and put them into a blender.

    This.

It’s TFnation this weekend. I think MT announced there SG Stain there a couple of years ago. I’m hoping against hope we might get another SG figure. I know Kapow Toys are taking some new stuff from MT....

I sort of felt like this for a long time as well, but in the end the more futuristic/sci-fi design won me over. If UW Scattershot and especially Afterburner had been a bit more G1-esque I probably would have gone for the Unite Warriors version instead.

Just gave in and did it. $130 is a really good price on this set. Even if Takara were to re-issue to Unite Warriors set at $135, I'd still want the Dream Wave add-on for $40.

Is there any special trick to putting on Blindfire's thighs on the hip balljoints after swapping them out? They seem to be incredibly tough to put on and I'm afraid of breaking it.
