As has been said this is completely untrue. He's VERY easy to transform. Just the feet are a little awkward until you understand the mechanism.

Unless you call a shell former a joke to transform but then that's just G1 Scourge.

I think every Fanstoys thread title should end with a bunch of question marks after the named Transformer. Seeing as it takes so long for Fanstoys to release anything!

 

To be fair, he posted that in 2015 before Phoenix was a glint in his daddy's eye.

 

If I recall correctly a good number of the first production run had the feet misassembled so they really didn't work. That first run is when a lot of people form their opinion on figures, and it could be not everyone heard it was an assembly issue.

fwiw, the feet on Andras rank up there with the worst transformation bits I've ever experienced right out of the box. Major league aggravation, especially if your copy comes with the feet really jammed up in there so no matter how much you "understand the mechanism", it's still going to be a bitch to get one or both of them out.

 

It's really not that bad unless you have gorilla hands. I'd actually ask anyone who's never seen it before to just spend two minutes on the feet and I bet they would manage it .it's no worse than Koots wheel panels or FT insecticons.

 

I wouldn't know about Koot as he came in robot mode, but one of the feet in my Andras was jammed in there pretty good and took a while to get out. I'm not ham-fisted so it wasn't a matter of dexterity.

 

Have you not transformed either ?

 

I had to transform Andras because he comes in alt mode.
