I'm disappointed with how Cybertron is depicted

.....in IDW. I know its a minor quibble but Cybertron has never felt like Cybertron in IDW. Not sure why. When I played wfc/foc/rotds games I loved how Cybertron was designed. It felt like the TFS home world
. I loved travelling around it. The comics by comparison have let the planet down. I know I know I'm being a tad ridiculous but to me I wish it felt like the games.

    Maybe its just me. ;)

I think one of the positives of a new continuity following Unicron could be the establishment of a Cybertron that isn't basically a dead world. It's a neat touch, and one that was unique when Furman first established it, but it has become something of a common thread. I know Prime did something similar.

I think a lot of it has to do with IDW's take of Transformers overall. IDW's Transformers are incredibly human-like. As a result, a lot of their structures - their architecture and what have you - are also "human". WFC/FOC Cybertron's Transformers were decidedly different. A lot of how they were portrayed was reminiscent of warring tribal societies battling in the ruins of a once far greater, almost mystical society. I got a very "Conan the Barbarian" feel from them. As a result I think that the bewildering supertech structures present would be out of place in the IDW Cybertron if not simply because the Transformers never seemed to have reached the utopian level that Ironhide dreamed up, but simply lived far more mundane lives than the FOC/WFC Transformers.

To be fair, IDW kind of shot themselves in the foot by establishing early on the Cybertron was a complete wasteland because of Thunderwing's stuff, and then went the extra mile to completely wipe it clean after Chaos and reduce it to literally just one city (not counting Titans). There were a few pre/early war stories that depicted some interesting parts of Cybertron (Spotlight: Orion Pax comes to mind), but yeah, there never was a whole lot of effort put into making Cybertron itself much of a captivating setting.

I dunno; I was really intrigued by an uninhabitable Cybertron, but that went away fairly quick.

Additionally, if Scioli can justify "Gobotron" somehow, he will belong in the highest pantheon of creators of all time forever.

That's not that hard to do. Just off the top of my head with 100% made up BS:

*Pathfinder nodded to the incredulous human before her. "We're Gobots," she said gently, "From "Gobotron", derived from the ancient texts "Gobos Troun" - "To Evolve"."
*Cy-Kill snorted derisively. "Pah! Do you know why we're called "Gobots"? Because nobody wants us! Go, Bots, they cried! But we'll never leave. NEVER!"
*Scooter grinned widely. "Actually, our species' full name is "Gobotronopolisotanianstutagulam." Nick Burns nodded sagely, rubbing his chin. "I think we'll stick to "Gobots" if it's all the same to you." "Yeah... kinda thought you would. No offense."

Yeah, I hated IDW Cybertron. Most of it looks like rock and desert or something with a few cities on it, rather than the full cybernetic looking thing like from the cartoons.

After his painful Gi Joe/Transformers crossover, he will remain at the other end of the spectrum for me. Worst comics I ever read.

I'm not a fan of idw Cybertron. Give me the machine world of the G1 cartoon.

So that where Combiner Wars, Titians Return and Power of the Primes get their version of Cybertron from.

Hopefully to someone better. Maybe they will making them living mechanical beings instead of people in metal suits. I don't mind them being living, but have them still be mechanical.

Same here. Who thought that was a great idea? Someone should've said no to that. Was giving bots a gender and romance a good idea? Not really, but that can explain because there was a high demand for female robots, so the quints made them and the bots pick up romance from sexed being. It could be that Primus saw a vision of sexed beings and use that as an inspiration and thought that roboromance and robokids was a nice thing for the bots to have. However, how do you explain an organic Cybertron? Now I hated the Prime War Trilogy even more.

The WFC/FoC games really made Cybertron great and feel "alive" - which it should be, given how it is the body of Primus, after all. I loved how everything is transforming, from ramps to buildings and such. Sadly, this is hard to depict in comics. And it did not help that much of the comics taking place on ancient cybertron was drawn by a guy who has trouble drawing robots and rectangular things (Ramondelli) in general.

The word "bleeding" here is apt, but I would follow it with another word, not cool...

As is "transformium" and "unobtanium", both of which were salubrious to their respective franchises.
