It takes time. Cheetor was my first new 4* since May, there were eight dupes since then.

Where did you hear about the new bots?

 

I'm somewhere around 7-9 dupes in a row as well, lost count of them.

Their crystals are listed in the "gameconfig" file, I have found them myself while checking it 2 weeks ago. But that was the only place they've been listed at the time (and they were the only new names). It's probably time to check the unity files for their battle icons. UPD: No, still nothing new there.

I also acquired a 3* Warpath for my Autobot alliance.

 

I had a pretty good weekend! Two new 4*s (Wasp and Blitz) plus 3 3*s which unlocked Menasor! Erm.. who wants to touch me?!

 

Well, no 4 star for me from this weekend but at least I got the 3. Also put up about 81,000 event pts! New personal best. W/the unlimited triple XP I went completely bananas this weekend. Also still managed to find time to run errands, hit a service project, hit the beach, go to church and weekly family dinner at the parents. Overall, I'd say this weekend was a success. So many HUGE ups, too many to mention. Some of the notables was 5* Firefly to 53 (he was 51 at start of event), Kup to 59, Star Saber to 57, both Sky Lynx and First Aid to 50 (they both started the event in the mid 40's), Ratchet + Wheeljack to 54, Skydive to 53, Skyburst to 52, just to name a few!!

This VIP Discord chat has devolved into a debate on what "stated odds" actually are.

Very few people in the chat seem to understand.

 

Only got a bunch of 3* wasps, no 4.  

 

Not sure if it pertains directly to the event...but it blows my mind how upset people get about not pulling the 4 star. I'm pretty disappointed that I didn't pull him, but 8 people in my alliance did. That's 20%!! Which is way higher than 1-1.8% of normal crystals. A ton of us pulled his 3 as well. I'm sorry, but I can't help but get annoyed when people complain about their pull results from FREE crystals!!! How about dropping $200+ to chase a bot and still not pull him (*cough* TRACKS *cough*)...then come talk to me. But until then, sit down, shut up, enjoy the UNLIMITED triple XP and other free shit. //rantover

 

The mods actually said they don't release the odds for event crystals. So for all we know they aren't the same as premium or character crystals. The annoying part is, Space Ape only releases the information that Apple/Google force them to. That says a lot more about them than it does the complainers.

 

How it all got started was there was a Space Ape rep on Saturday who was making a point that in a LB event, only the top 200 players get a 4* character. In a prestige event, every crystal has the potential to pull a 4* crystal, so the odds are much greater that more people end up with the 4* character.

Somehow, a few of the more vocal complainers misunderstood the point, and thought the rep was saying that instead of the top 200 players getting the character, a random selection of 200 players got the character. That led into people demanding to know the odds of event crystals, and presenting the pulls of their alliances as "evidence" that the odds had to be one way or the other. Problem is, that's not how odds work.

 

This is why we can't have nice things....sigh

 

If this is the message you mean, it does very seem to imply exactly that?!

 

I guess I really didn't until I felt kind of underwhelmed with everything. While I realize its mostly me, the constant rat race to keep up with the latest and greatest bots gets tiresome. Not getting anything from the event once again reminded me of how cheap the apes are. I don't think I'll stop playing but need to remember that I have plenty of awesome bots, and that trying to keep up with bots will ultimately end in getting burned out.

Yeah that's it. She's obviously not 100% crystal clear there, but her point about those being "example numbers" (as well as a moment or two of rational thinking) should have prevented people from going apeshit.
