I honestly don't mind Bumblebee using the radio to talk. I never minded it that much in the movies (though part of it was because that meant Bumblebee was spared from growling I'll kill you like every other Autobot in the movies who had an ounce of character development), and I don't find it offensive here. 'Bee acting loopy after his memory loss and not getting that Thundercracker is a threat at first is kind of funny. Windblade seems to be a decent voice of reason for him. I'm gonna see where this goes. No doubt this is a lighter-hearted moment, and it's entirely possible the series could have darker, more serious moments.

 

The series has potential

Animation looks good, and I don't loathe the character designs, though I wish they weren't so cutesy. Not all kids are 6 years old.

Hate what they're doing with Bumblebee. They keep turning him into Wreck-Gar, but worse.

Not much story to speak of in this clip.

So far, it looks "meh." Which I guess is better than the abominations that are the new TMNT and Thundercats shows.

 

honestly can’t tell what I feel about transformers cyberverse look and animation. I keep flip flopping from “that looks a little off” to “oh it looks good and fluid” every couple of seconds. Maybe when we get a full episode i can process it. Still looking forward to how it pans out cuase the general premise is interesting.

 

I had high hopes for this show. Even when the toys were garbage, I thought the show still had potential from what I'd read of it. But good lord, that was grim. Bumblebee was downright annoying. I actually like the radio-voice used in the film, and loved him in Prime (where he was mute). This clip was just irritating.

I'm not someone who hates everything new by any stretch, and I don't expect Batman: the Animated Series level quality (even if Prime and BW are two of the best animated programs ever), but this disappointed me substantially.

 

So Bee is the same size as Seekers now...

Yeah I wont be watching this.

Wow, the animation style is just terrible. Also, we're seriously going back to the way-past-tired trope of Bee using fake radio broadcasts to communicate? The show has yet to premiere and it's already spinning its wheels.

Guess the Transformers have too much Cybertronian roughage in their diets now, judging by the sounds they make when they transform.

 

That is the dumbest reason to not be watching a show. Just because it doesn't stick to your idea of transformers scale doesn't mean it's bad

 

Just not much here for me to get excited about. And if the episodes are only 11 minutes long, we basically just watched a third of the first episode...blah!

Someday, Hasbro will darn the fandom with a cartoon that will excite the fandom at large. Someday...

 

Oh wow, you sure told me! So I guess I better hurry up and set my DVR to make sure I catch the first episode so that I'm back in your good graces.

Maybe I don't like the animation, dialogue and Bumblebee being scale with Seekers and easily taking them out is the tipping of the iceberg.

But me not being all that interested in this shouldn't give you a miscarriage.

 

The only thing that bothered me was the lack of Thundercracker's voice and it would be really disappointing if it stayed that way. I'm okay with everything else. I actually like how the animation looks here with its colors.

 

Except that you didn't mention any of this in your post at all. IF you don't want people getting the wrong idea, finish your sentence.

 

I don't like Bumblebee's radio talk either.

I'll wait until I see a full episode before making a judgement, but I'm feeling pretty meh so far.

I also find those lines around Windblade's mouth/chin to be really distracting, but that's just me.

 

Or I can post what I want. Odds are people like you would've been butthurt regardless.

 

I'm not completely hating it, but not really feeling it either. I do love how fluid the animation looks but Windblade's eyes look a tad too big. I also wish they would let BB talk in this one too. BB talking through the radio was fine in the movies and I didn't mind the beeping in Prime, but I say let that aspect of Bee stay with the movies.

I will give it this though, I'm liking this preview of the Cyberverse a bit more than the Cyberverse toyline figures I saw at Target the other day. I'd be willing to give the TV series itself a chance and reserve judgement until I see some more footage and get a feel for the writing.

 

Ahaha! You said it, ADULT TOYS! Haha! But I mean look it TFP, it was kinda dark for a kids cartoon though...wouldn't call it for kids however, remember energon blood/gore?

 

Yeah, the whole "it's okay to be trash because it's for kids, not me" defense is insane, since previous Transformers series have proven that you can be aimed at kids and still respect their intelligence and tell a great story. That's to say nothing of how bad the character designs have been since RID '15.
