So, found this on sirtoys. They didn't specify the brand, but judging from the logo on the car hood, most likely wei jiang. Could be wrong tho. I am not expecting much change, but if they fixes the QC issues plagued the original, i am in.
Paul already posted about this in the KO thread. LoL at giving this it's own thread though, really desperate for news credits?
i don't know which thread, certainly didn't see it. If this thread is considered unnecessary, anyone of the admins feel free to lock it.
Why is this any less deserving of a thread than the other multitude of figures that have been mentioned in the KO thread, and also had their own? And why do you feel you're responsible to play moderator?
Because it's a very low profile figure that very few people will buy. And I'm not playing moderator, I'm mocking him.
We get it. You're proud to be a dick. Now go somewhere else so we can actually discuss the figure. OP did nothing wrong, and you immediately felt the need to derail this thread.
I'm going to buy it. *Just saying". That said I have no idea why I actually need RID Overscale Warriors - but I already have a bunch of them so I might as well complete the set.
To get this thread back on track, i'll add my two cents. No interest in this at all. THere are so many better candidates to be oversized, Sideswipe just didnt need to be bigger. Longarm, maybe. But he's too big to go with the rest of RID2, and too small to be a MP.
This could have been one of the top molds from the RID line if it weren't for the QC issues. At $10, I might be tempted if the shoulders are fixed. Also, it looks like there is a pin at the chest joint so you wouldn't have to worry about it falling off all the time.
Consider me in the camp that has no interest. But I will say I'm happy the RID figures are still being KO'd. There are a few figures I'd love to see Oversized. Soundwave, Windblade, heck even Steeljaw. And Stormshot. Why Not? And Bludgeon would be cool, too. I have the OS RID Grimlock, and he's really good. If they'd make any of the figures I mentioned, I'm definitely getting them.
There already exists an oversize Steeljaw it's just really hard to find. [P.s I don't mean the low quality ones]
Received this guy yesterday and he's a solid OS KO. Fairly hefty and strong joints all around. I avoided the original due to all the complaining about his shoulders, but I can tell you that this guy has no issues with shoulders locking into place. There is that crappy kibble that stems from his shoulders and ends up behind his head that shifts around too much when posing him, but that doesn't really have anything to do with the locking points in his chest. Overall, I'm happy to have this mold. Worth it for the $15 I paid.
does all 4 of his wheels touch the ground on vehicle mode? A problem that made me sold my original was that the underjunk is a bit too thick and make the wheels float.
By that logic no KO product deserves it's own thread since they all fall under the umbrella of the "KO thread". And honestly some people don't wantto rummage through a giant catch-all thread for a particular product. Please site your source for this. Which in no way is beneficial to the forum.
I always loved this car mode. It's a shame the bot-mode for the figure never quite lived up to expectations.
He rolls great with plenty of clearance between his chest and the ground. Although I left the chest unfolded...not sure if that is normal because most, if not all, the images I see of him have the chest folder down in alt mode. That step is unnecessary on this OS KO. Pics attached.
FWIW, I got the OSKO Warrior Class Optimus Prime with the same symbol on it. I have zero complaints. If it appeals to you, go for it.
