Just got this from TCP today.Overall Solid Figure..Scales well with other minibots  

 

One of the two hood panels on my copy seems either unpainted or is a lighter color red plastic than the other one. Not awful but noticable. Does anyone know if thats a common thing with this guy? (The panels that flip around to make the inside of the feet)

 

My cliffjumper has the same thing I can live with it.. I can't live with my Hubcap..

Still think slightly lighter blue in the bot mode chest would've been good, but he looks great standing with all his buddies.

 

Just received this guy yesterday, in case anyone cares about my thoughts about him:

I have the ACE Collectibles version already and always thought he was underrated.

Getting Toro in hand, I more clearly see that the ACE one should have had longer arms and a smaller chest.

Overall, Toro is the winner, but I wish they'd done the same with the chest as with MP Bumblebee so we could have avoided the faux chest and huge backpack.

 

I would love to know if anyone has received the GSI Toys back plate yet too.

 

I just ordered the backplates for both of them a few days ago, along with a few other items. The backplate for Hubcap was suppose to be ready on the 8th, according to GCI's page for it. So I'm hoping that'll come along soon. It'll be a first time order from that organization, and I've no idea what to expect from them, although something should be shipped within a week from the order date, or so I'd assume. Otherwise, it is still a transaction that remains in the stage of "processing." It's up to GCI Toys to deliver. I'll update you if and when it gets here, because I'm looking forward to it too.

 

I have ordered quite frequently from William at GCI. This was a project in concert with ATP Designs. I have bought quite a lot of quality products from him as well. In several cases like this ATP and GCI have partnered I think specifically due to the larger size of volume. Previously, for me this was spring and ratchet pieces for both KFC Ditka and KFC Simba/MP Star Saber. In all cases ATP Designs and GCI has been reputable and produced in a responsive manner. My order is also in processing. If anything, I believe that they are trying to get the production volume completed to fulfill all preorders so there are no second batches. They may have had more orders than anticipated. This is something that happens with 4th party developers. They are professional but maybe don't always have the level of resources or equipment available when making parts like this that makes delivery times more variable. I believe this will all be available soon due to the large orders. I have no idea how much additional time was involved with the 3D printing, polishing/sanding, painting on each one.

I'm. I'm lost for words. Looks even worse than Tumbler and that's already pretty bad.

 

Hellion is not best looking, but in person, i found him not bad either, as long as the head is tilting down.... The waist wasnt prettiest, sure, but again, in person, it is a meh, i quickly looked past it. But i do the same for Toro's windshield below his head, very meh. Backpack on Toro is fine with me personally, and no need to remove it.

However, for someone that doesnt have their MP Transformers in static straight pose with slight A stance, Hellion gives much better articulation than my Toro does. I am extremely limited how i can pose Toro, because no double jointed arms and hole in the forarm. Also, the no tilt down on any angle but straight means i cant have him at 15 - 30 degree body to head, and proper head tilt down would have really helped Toro.

Also, in person, Hellion looked prestine enough. Not sure if as much as Toro, but at least the accessories are. I am not even using any of the accessories that came with Toro, had to give him MP Ironhide's gun, that is actually silver.

Toro is nice still, i like his paint and overall stature when standing straight with arms on each side of his hips, but Hellion has it's advantages too. Once (or rather IF) i get Hellin in too, i will decide which one stays and which one goes, but the much better articulation will greatly help Hellion, who was much more fun to pose at TFCon anyways when i handled him.

 

I unwatched that thread when it was 10 pages of how awful Toro's [insert thing] looks and Hellion does so much better. Heh, yeah, no.

Must have been just a partial shipment, still waiting to hear about mine.

 

For some reason, in pictures, Toro looks bloated (forearms and shins look out of proportion). Yet, in hand, this is not the case.

 

So I've heard rumors of Replacement parts to fix the color mismatch on coprimozzo.. CAn anyone verify this?
I contacted BBTS and sent mine back and they sent me a replacement that is just as badly (if not worse) discolored.. It's bothersome!

 

I decided that neither of them cuts it. If they release him in the proposed blue Microchange colours ill bite but for now ill remain Cliffjumperless.

 

Yeah.. I am not sure how Hubcap even passed the factory QC and left there? They are ALL like that?! How can that happen in a professionally run factory? We should all get refunds for them, or fixes. But I like Toro just fine...
