Cant say I agree on the seaspray gun. Did he ever use a "harpoon" in the cartoon? Its kind of like giving Cosmos a buck rodgers ray gun or Outback a boomerang. Sure it fits theyre personality but a little bit goofy to bring a knife to a gunfight. I would give it a pass if it actually appeared in the cartoon like Wheelies infamous slingshot.

While I completely agree. Transformers fiction and toys do that all the time.

I understand your point, but under water (as he was seen in certain episodes) a harpoon gun would be more effective, and makes more sense for his nautical character. If you remember, the Hunt for The Decepticons release actually had two harpoon firing guns, and flippout flippers. I actually have a very Marvin the Martian styled blaster for Cosmos from Shapeways, painted metalic green, with red and gold accents, and a gold barrel. I would absolutely LOVE a boomerang for Outback. I already have his cannon from Nonnef, so that would be a just fun extra.

I don't take my collection so seriously that I can't have some tongue-n-cheek references on characters. Besides, it's Sunbow's fault for giving them Australian and Russian accents, or talk like they are under water, so why not have some fun with it. Most of the mini bots had very generic pistols which are barely worth worrying about, and almost none of the G1 toys came with any. So why not give them unique weapons that accentuate their unique personalities, traits, and quirks?

In the end, to each their own. I respect your opinion and thank you for sharing it.

Agreed. Even though a boomerang would be funny, I think a large knife like Crocodile Dundee's would be much funnier. He's not a stereotype, he's a national treasure!

A boomerang would be cool though. And makes more sense than a sword. But I don't see how you can design one he can hold and look good holding it.

If I had to guess I'd suggest that the reason Tailgate & Windcharger's guns are so small is that they can be internally stored - especially in vehicle mode.

I like the set - I would however like the toys toy put them on too - but I have none of them due to 2017's & 2018's terrible distribution.
And my reluctance to buy online due to the propensity of Titan Returns Legends class KO's.

Perhaps one day I'll get them - and if I do these look like a good option.

a lot of the legends you can get on ebay for reasonable prices. I just got a titans return seaspray for like 9 bucks shipped. and a brawn for another 11 or so.

I ordered just the sea spray gun last night

there were reports of "knockoffs" of brawn at least, but they were really more like packaged factory rejects/seconds

I went ahead and ordered me the set with Beachcomber and Seaspray from Uncle Billy, free shipping, not bad.

Now to see how long it will take.

Yeah they were KO'ed (or sold on the side) they have completely different paint on them and in the case of brawn mold difference - they often come with the wrong card. Seaspray for example has a different shade of yellow - there is a thread on this subject on the board somewhere.

It's very hard to tell what your buying so I'll pick them up from the Entertainer when I can perhaps - but no hurry.
Since not a single store has anything Generations since Titans Returns Wave 3 in my area I'm choosing to be cautious on these particular items.
To be honest I've put offical stuff on the back burner a bit lately - due to the bad distribution.

Customs fees would make it hideously over priced.

I love these. They're very sci-fi. I already bought a few Dr. Wu guns for Legends figs. :thumb

Here's a 3P best-seller idea: mystery packs with collectible TF guns (and, for example, chase gold or clear guns). I'd love for Hasbro or a 3P to mass produce these at cheap prices and throw them into mystery bags.

I'm honestly not too picky about what guns my Legends guys carry - so long as they look sci-fi, not modern military (i.e. glocks, rifles, heavy machine guns). So having duplicates of certain guns wouldn't bother me because I could use them on a myriad of figures now (and in the future).

Hasbro clearly has a waning desire to arm these characters...

I almost wonder if American toy laws would prevent such things. With the past couple of lines, we did get $5 figures that turned into weapons, and the next line WFC: Siege, weaponizing is a central them.

I love your idea, and I am sure most of us would happily buy lots of these blind bags, but for a general market that would not recognize G1 weapons, there would not be much of a market. Each thing they release has to be character related, and honestly, they only way I would see Transformers blind bags would work is if they had recognizable characters. If I am not mistaken, they have already done blind boxes with primary characters with a quick transforming gimmick.

A small case of randomly assorted 3mm or 5mm guns and melee weapons, with the case being its own 3 or 5mm accessory, would be pretty.

Still, while I would not be thrilled about buying 1P weaponmasters in random assortments, this lil’ kitty could be the start of that...

I hope it’s not, though. If Hasbro is releasing a bunch of animal minicons, I’d probably like multiples of those specific figures. Similarly, I’m thinking about getting a couple Battle Patrols to go with Iron Factory’s War Giant, and I’d prefer not having to gamble for them.

I don’t really foresee any of that, but it’s a possibility.
