Always wondered why Cosmos was green. Now he is painted with hologram violet cosmic colours and like totally cosmopolitan. All it took was a little solvent nail polish. Behold, Cosmospolitron!
OMGS he looks so utterly amazing, I'm in instant love! Just so you know and no offense meant, nail polish is the worst thing to customize with. It doesn't stay on, as it was not meant to last and can weaken the plastic Still, freaking gorgeous custom!
Stealing this paint app idea to make limbs for starscream so he can somewhat resemble the combiner wars matrix of combination starscream. It'll be way cheaper than picking up 4 UW or golden lagoon deluxe starscreams.
Added to that, NEVER use nail polish remover on plastic. It will literally eat the plastic. Thankfully it only happened on a custom I was working on, that I was going to paint over anyway. Cosmos looks friggin premium tho.
Ever since I found out about Cosmos I felt like he didn't really understand the whole 'Robots in Disguise' thing, I mean what's the best form to be inconspicuous on Earth? I know a Flying Saucer! I applaud your custom taking this several steps further into absurdity
Yeh, I was kinda expecting it to go on too thick, not so much about durability and didn't expect it to melt a bit but the Cosmos was $5 and I really wanted the effect. Glad it paid off.
Sure, though if you use the same product be aware it may have irreversible damage to the plastic. I just happen to be dexterous enough to make it work.
Yeh I did at one part try a diffrent colour, it didn't work out so I used remover, was shocked how powerful it was.
Ever so slightly but if you ever remove the nail polish the plastic revealed is dulled out and not glossy.
