The declared value on my Dinobot from AE was 2,380 yen: exactly the amount that SAL shipping cost me.
I’ve just transformed him, based on the memory of what I’ve seen in the videos; it went of without a hitch, although I did lube up the shoulder joints. They are pretty scary; and I’ll be handeling that part of the transformation with kid gloves! Every ratchet click scares me a bit now   But what an amazing figure he is! And to think I was contemplating passing up on him when he was first announced!

 

Slower, more expensive by 20+%. Awesome!!!

My short review: I love him. He's the near-ideal realization of everything I ever imagined a Beast Wars transformer toy could be growing up watching the show and fawning over the toys as a kid. It's a shame he's so expensive, but I understand and appreciate the inherent engineering and manufacturing complexity. If Beast Wars Masterpiece Megatron lives up to the precedent this figure has set, I have absolutely no doubt he will be my favorite toy of all time. Like, damn Takara, thank you. 5/5 stars. Will be photographing him more soon I hope!

I'm starting to be worried. The track code for my 3 Dinobots should have been sent to my e-mail 5 days ago. Still nothing. I've contacted Nippon Yasan about that, but other than tell me that they're gonna ask about it I have still to hear something from them.

 

Yeah I gotta admit.....this figure has really got me wondering how awesome the Megs will be. (Or can be)
