I really, REALLY hope this meets it\'s goal. The main reason I didn\'t back the original KS was that well... it didn\'t have anything backing it! Why I decide to buy certain Transformers is heavily determined by what character it is. Characters that have personalities, stories, AND look cool.

Now I have a chance to support Transformers fans who were inspired to make their own. Not just that but I get a comic that will actually give substance to a character that I can get a figure of at a cheaper price?? Yes please. Backed.

My only hope/question is what combined mode head it comes with. I\'m really hoping it\'s the skull paint one we see on the varient cover(who I assume is the figure we get. The black and orange one). If not it\'s still awesome. It just seems like that one is the \"main\" character and that\'s the figure I\'m hoping to get.

There are lots of sites, YouTube channels, blogs, etc. that cover action figures in general.

IMG_7921.jpg These are similar to the REVs toyline(byPlaymates) but done much much better.

The core riders were pretty neat, they not only used the vehicles for mech suits, but could attach parts of them for smaller upgrades like jetpacks & swords etc...
They were a bit more like Centurions though.

The Basic Bastard will have the three Burley heads pictured below, including the skull visor. The first two pics are fairly old mockups, though, just a reference for the heads with the final toy appearance in the third.

Yeah but this is a similar kind of market. Also these guys are a divergent project off mmc so they’ve got some bloodline. I dunno. It just doesn’t seem like a big deal.

Generally speaking, if there is a link to Transformers, it goes in. The link this time being Geoff Senior. You see it fairly often with Marvel's Deaths Head.

Hey, just moved here in the last couple of mouths, hasn't the weather been glorious!

I credit Geoff (and Simon Furman and Andrew Wlidman) with both getting me into Transformers and into comics as a whole. I got to meet him at Auto Assembly 2006 and got all the guests to sign my copy of Target: 2006 :)

Yeah Deaths head was great. It's Geoff's fault I need an MP Glavatron in toy/comic colours so I can recreate this..

I guess the reluctance is there because of...

    ...this.

TFW2005 owe us nothing, we're a collection of 3P guys who went 1st Party with a brand new IP, we're incredibly lucky to have a home and a place for discussion here! Without TFW there would be no Mayhem Mekanics, we started out on here as kitbashers, did a few add-on kits and then Cassy Sark got picked up by iGear because of that. They owe us nothing, we owe them everything. Any front-page attention is a complete bonus.

Hope that makes sense Phenotype, many people see us as 3P as we're a bunch of 3P designers gone straight. Haha!

There are two main characters, Burley and Iride. Burley heads (skull face) are the ones included in the KS reward. Burley seems to be the most popular of the seven Unrustable Bastards we introduced in the first campaign.

Answering your question was secondary though, just wanted to say thanks for your kind words and positivity above.

I hope anything Mayhem Mekanics gets front paged every time you guys develop something new.

And keep doing the ____ of the year at the end of every year, please.

@CZ Hazard I pledged for 3 variants of the first issue. Will there be an opportunity to get the other issues at a later date or do I need to do the $100 pledge now?

If everything goes well, then yeah you should be able to pick up the other issues at a later date honestly, but it might be a bit of messing about to get all the variants, and every pledge really does help move us closer to making this a reality. My hope would be you'd back at $100, but I understand the reality of people's lives and finite monies.

Fair enough. When I posted that comment I didn’t know about the TFW connections. After reading more about the project I understand why it was front-paged.
