Start with unicron based story have him make a shit storm in the universe and let him escape into a alternate universe where we have new versions of transformers. Maybe beast modes? Maybe old school? Maybe all together?.....I got the feeling that beast wars was coming next when I saw the cybertron vines etc just gave me a Congo vibe
A movie set on cybertron. That is all I want, sense the movies never explained where the transformers came from in detail. The cybertron movie well star Orion pax, megatron, elita-ome, Dion, and the rest of the autobot crew. Explaining how Orion became a prime.
First up, we need a reason for humanity and transformers to meet. Second, we need to explore the division between Autobots and Decepticons. Third, the "fall" of Cybertron is an interesting premise. In my version, id go for a sort of "political awakening/struggle". To address point 1, we would like to see the classic Ark and Nemesis coming to Earth but they cant just crash for no reason, or just happen to have a battle above our planet. There needs to be a reason! One reason could be NASA. Now, some people might say NASA stands for "never a straight answer", and who really knows what they get up to. In my version, they managed to get astronauts in a rocket and send it to Cybertron, possibly though a wormhole or something, maybe utilizing the Hadron Collider or something from Area 51. Sole reason, they want a sustainable energy source to keep earth alive and off fossil fuels. It's for a good cause. This power that they can see through space telescopes is so big and awesome, its almost stupid not to go for it. So they do. Years later, the spaceship comes back! NASA is loving it. However, they're being followed. Its the Nemesis! Of course, NASA don't know what it is nor do the audience. It's not shooting, perhaps because what the astronauts have is too delicate but the NASA rocket is bee lining through atmosphere for a landing. But wait...theres more! Another ship appears... the ARK! It's chasing hard. In the end of the scene, both big ships get caught up in our gravity after a little shootey shootey and plough into some sort of location that's hard to trace. Point 1 met. Point 2, the division. What the astronauts took could be anything. I don't know enough about the lore to know of anything specific. Point is, some of the Cybertronians are happy to see it leave and some are not. Some think its good for Cybertron, some don't. It links to point 3. Its not a dying planet Cybertron. The "fall" could be a political thing, with the population taking sides on the welfare of their planet, some more seriously than others, causing at first a disruption and after the "theft" of this energy item, a war ensues. The Nemesis was chasing the astronauts because they were Cybertronians who decided that whatever was taken, was important to Cybertron and its welfare. They wanted it back. The decepticons could be GOOD in some peoples eyes. The ARK was chasing the nemesis, to STOP them taking it back to Cybertron, almost a rebellion of people who could be seen as BAD. Theres a moral ambiguity to it now, what and who is good and bad? Its a familiar concept but for an alien species. This would filter down into the characters too. We could be treated to different types of altercations between the factions, some on each "side" actually being friends with each other, just sharing differing opinions on the item. They just want to talk the other one into changing their mind. However, each sides having leaders and goals, some are forced to fight against each other against their wills. Awesome but sad at the same time. Of course there will be others who are strongly opinionated and may even want to kill others on the other side. Just like us.
