This is turning out to be a great weekend. Got reviews on MP Dinobot, Got my hands on Studio Series Ironhide and G1 Walmart Exclusive Starscream, and now an announcement of MP Hound.

 

Not sure why these price estimates are so high. 12,000 yen would be my guess for MSRP, just like Cordon and Sunstreaker. My price for Sunstreaker ended up around $82 shipped from Amazon Japan as well.

 

Looks pretty decent. Hopefully it will be available for less than $200.  

 

This is a very clean looking MP Hound. I really like this one! Well done, Takara!   Very, very, VERY nice!!! Now I don't have to worry about FT Willis coming out. I like this look better. I've got MT Gundog for my more detailed MP collection, and now I have this new MP Hound to look forward to for my animated-styled MP TF collection.   Win-win!

 

Very, very happy. I was waiting for Hound and Takara delivered. I hope we'll soon have more detailed info about him.

Its worth it, if its all you collect. You can always get a 3rd party version or get the OS KO or the straight up KO.

 

the flat, undetailed sculpt jus makes me sad. They are capable of so much better.

 

Funny thing is that someone kncoked over the ironhide MP in the group display so hes om his back.

I guess that is why they usually put a glass case over everything.

 

Not a fan of G1 designs but I've always liked Hound because he isn't a car or truck so I'll pick this up! He looks great.

 

If the transformation ends up being smoother than fans toys willis im all in. If not then ill stick with willis. I definitely like the willis headsculpt better atthis point. Im just happy to see hound finally get some love! He was always my favorite from the MTMTE special and i thought he should have been the buddy to spike and and his dad rather than bumblebee.

 

Wow! Been a looong time since a mic drop MP reveal like that, with no leaks or clues beforehand! Nice!

That said...

 

You have been paying attention for ironhide, ratchet, Inferno, grapple, Sunstreaker, Megatron, Shockwave, prime 2.0, and all the plus repaints.....right?

 

It's natural to prefer what you already own over what's not yours yet

This isn't as bad as MP Inferno or Ironhide, is it?

 

Wow, I mentioned in my MP Speculation post that Wheeljack would get the "+" in 2019....but Hound before Trailbreaker surprised me.....happily and Hound looks awesome. 35th Anniversary of G1 is starting off with a bang. Prime is dead on what I wanted. As for panel gaps in bot mode that will be rectified by the paint. And that 1986 headsculpt is my favorite though I would not be surprised if he came with the Season 1 head as well. Definite buys on all of them. Oh and reissues of Ironhide and Ratchet. Lots of MP goodness coming.

 

They have yet to touch any of the mini bots besides Bumblebee though (not to mention Insecticons, Reflector, Trailbreaker, Jazz, Mirage). I’m just glad we have Badcube, FT, XTB to make my collection dreams complete before I’m too old to enjoy these guys.

For them to cover Huffer, Brawn, Windcharger, Gears, Cliffjumper, we’ll be 20 years older...and that’s only Season 1. For the completionists looking for S2...good luck getting a full Takara cast.
