You could try the HK Anicon tomorrow at HKCEC. I've only ever seen the G1s at Hobbybase and they sell out inside 48 hrs. You might still find NP in wanchai toy st, Freeway toys and Hung Hing toys are the best there.

You could try Action Robo (Half way between In's Point and Sino Centre) or Tokyo Toys (in In's Point).

Freeway toys in Wan Chai may have them but expect to pay EBay prices as they put a HUGE markup on much of their stuff. They are my absolute last resort now as I've been burned by them several times with over inflated prices. Having said that the Wan Chai stores don't seem to get the limited edition stuff as much as those over in Kowloon.

If you are in HK right now definitely head to the Anicon. If you're a tourist you can take the VIP line as long as you have your passport and avoid a lot of the queues. You may not find the G1 walmart stuff but they definitely should have the SDCC Bumblebee with cassettes and Optimal Prime. Also depending on how much you purchase from the Toys'R'US/Hasbro booth you can come away with a whole pile of free bonus stuff, although this year isn't as good as previous years for Transformers fans unfortunately.

The post you quoted is eleven years old. You'd probably need a time machine to find those figures at this point.

    Hello all!

If someone can hook me up with the BotBots Lawn League 8-packs (which have been sighted in HK), I will pay triple the retail price plus cover all postage costs to the UK.

Please DM if you can help!

    Cheers!

The Toys R Us Harbour City store has another section for transformers. It's at the counter at the front of the store. Behind the counter are shelves that have Generation Selects and Movie Masterpiece figures.

Toys R Us Harbour City store in Hong Kong
Below is a video I took of the transformers section at the Harbour City store in Hong Kong during October. Watch the video with the sound turned on.

There is also a counter at the front of the store that has shelves of Generation selects, Movie Masterpieces and Takara Tomy and other exclusives that I didn't film in the video.

    Photos of the Transformers Section:
The people of Hong Kong don't seem to like Siege Megatron, there must have been 40-50 of them on the shelves.

Shockwave and Scavenger are out in Toys R Us. They both popped up in couple of days before the end of the year but it was an extremely limited release (probably to try and meet the holiday demand?)

Your best bet is Mong Kok, but it’s an absolute mess so far.

You can get the G1 reissue Prime and Rodimus at Fastlane toys in Wan Chai, and I saw the cassettes, Starscream and devastator recently (like, before Coronavirus) in Shum Shui Po.

Thank you, I may ask a friend to look for me, but not anytime soon of course.

Have you ever seen any store selling G1 KO's?
