Been a long time customer at Hasbrotoyshop and had no issues throughout the many years I been buying from them. However, recently I received an email stating that I owe them money for an order I made over a year ago! I already have the emailed them the receipts showing the items were paid for, however they are refusing to believe me and they are saying if I don't pay them I can't order from them again. Hasbrotoyshop already sent me the items so it should been taken care off. This has been an extremely frustrating experience and I have no idea what do with this situation. Anyone else have a similar issue?

The items in the order was a SW figure along with the Voyager Last Knight Megatron and Hound.

Sounds shady. Might be a scam. Try to contact a hasbro representative through another channel.

Yea I thought something was really weird as well. I also called them and they gave me the same answer so I guess I should try and contact Hasbro directly.

Sadly that's exactly who I called who gave me the same story.... Hasbrotoyshop I mean but as for Hasbro themselves it may be the next option.

Now that I think of it, Spring-before-last I had an issue...I had bought a TR Optimus from Hasbrotoyshop, and his left arm's ratcheting-joint seemed loose and defective, so I called the site's number...it seems like you had to call to get approval for returns...I may be wrong about that, and they said it sounded like a construction issue at the factory level and directed me to call corporate. I kind-of put it off and never called, which was my fault, but now that I look back on it, there should have been an easier way to return an item I wasn't happy with, especially one I thought was defective. Thanks for nothing, Hasbrotoyshop... (lol)

Well its more like they just plain out ignored it. The situation is extremely complicated cause they sent the items even though the payments actually don't exist on the account. Basically what I think what happened (it's been a while so I don't remember it being the exact order but regardless it did happen to some order I did in general last year) that they double charged me and when the payments all cleared everything seemed good. I look back at it now and I don't see any charges around that time anymore. I used a bank card to pay for item but the payments don't exist in my account currently. I don't really understand what happened exactly.

    Complicated.

    1) Sounds like there's a chance you really didn't pay for the item.
    2) When they switched to the new website they did not carry over old customer information. I had an issues back with the old system and they made an exception for me because their history showed that I bought a lot of things from HTS over the years and rarely had issues.

Your choices now seems to be
    1) Raise a fuss, demand to talk to a manager and see if you can get it resolved or waived.
    2) Open a new account. Hope HTS isn't to checking addresses of different accounts or reports you to the credit bureau.
    3) Take the hit and pay.

Thanks for the potential options. I will be calling them again tomorrow and see what I can do.

Correct. If it's a faulty product you get corporate who can send you anything because their inventory is different front he website.

If you're confident you've paid them consult a lawyer. This isn't something that's going to go away.

I've had this happen to me and it was because I legitimately didn't pay them. What happened was I charged an item and they took far longer to actually take the money than one would expect. By the time they did, it was greater than the balance on the account, so they got squat for payment. It wasn't a big deal and I paid them back in installments. However, there was later an issue where I guess they didn't put that I paid in their systems, so I had multiple orders on hold until I called them and explained what happened. After a few times they fixed it and I'm good now. Call HTS and ask for Ron if possible.

So it will go away. I had the same bullshit with my wife with some Verizon bill in the past.

I told them, prove the missing payment and overage. Send me the receipts and then we will see if it was indeed not payed (cause my wife does do dumb shit like that sometimes).

If they cannot prove what is sent, what the bill was, and so forth, they don't have a foot to stand on. If they do send you an invoice with the products and so forth, then you can check with your CC company and match it up.

This seems extremely weird. Most companies don't ship items until the payment goes through. If you've received product but HTS failed to charge it even though you made a good faith effort to pay them, that's on them. I'd call a manager and stand your ground. You shouldn't owe them anything at this point.

Are you calling a phone number from their website or are you calling a phone number from the email saying you owe money? You might be calling the scammers instead of Hasbro.

Yea I don't understand what happened either. This literally makes no sense on any level.
