Yeah, they've started considering all newly in-stock items as "exclusives" meaning no coupon codes work on them, not even the 20% ones for signing up for emails. It's a total crock of shit.

 

Does anyone know if HTS usually puts up the SDCC exclusives at a particular time of day? I wanna have a decent shot at that Throne of the Primes set.

 

AFAIK, it has varied over the last couple of years (early AM versus afternoon time)

Just so you all know that 20% off also doesn't work on Hun Gurr.

 

It doesn't even work on Rodimus Unicronus, who came out months ago

Code is now live, and I can confirm that it does NOT work on Rodimus Unicronus.

 

The code also does NOT work on Cindersaur, Rippersnapper, Hun-Gurrr, or Studio Series Megatron. Dang.

Yeah, I had the same experience. It was annoying, but given how hard Hun-gurrr has been to find, I went ahead anyway.

Frankly, after having done that, it's just as well the codes for today aren't working, either. I'm already annoyed at having to have paid shipping....

 

HTS used to have some great promotions a few years ago, but seems like they totally stopped or at least severely limited them. Guess they figure people are willing to pay full price...

 

Still not entirely sure what their criteria is, but if you click into an item they now clearly list all the ones that codes and promos will not work on.

That being said, the free shipping over $49 promotion is still working on most of these items. I got Hun-gurr, Elita, Outback, and Cindersaur with free shipping. It first shows shipping but when you click through into the Shipping Information page, it zeroes out.

 

Or retailers complained about getting undercut price-wise.
