Oh, well I would have to say that PSX is more or less the horse's mouth and more reliable than TFSource, etc., though I would still guess that there's many a slip between the cup and the lip, so perhaps deadline is probably just a better informed guess. Anyway, he hasn't hit yet, which is a bummer.

 

All I know is I played with the production sample, and it was good...

The mmc "rep" mentioned that it was releasing in a few weeks, I just forgot how many weeks cause I was also trying to get more info on Azalia and Sphinx, which he was playing like he didn't know much about them, but being who he is, he well damn knew a hell of a lot more, just knew I would bug him like I do every year on when their Arcee is finally releasing and all that...

Anyways, I think I might be more excited for Sphinx and Azalea, but I still want this.

 

Are you talking about Sphinx as in MMC Mirage? Are they doing a reissue or something?

If we're talking about the red version, I will buy it, if they ever release the freakin' thing. Getting antsy over here. I've learned my lesson though about pre-paying pre-orders for 3P stuff, I only buy on release now. Have yet to see anything sell out before I can get one.

 

I still think he looks the best to me. I’m more worried about the wobble in paik’s Video then his midsection.

One quick note from an owner of the black version. If you watched Paik's video, the chest pops off as he rotates the backpack down going to bot mode. This actually happened to mine, and it basically breaks the glue connecting that piece to the diecast spine. This is due to those shoulder clips Paik was trying to rotate 90° down, and attempting to tab those into place at the "collarbone". These are actually the instructions that MMC uses, but it seems like those clips put a lot of pressure against the doors inside the torso, which press against the roof of the car.

SO! At least on my copy of the figure, I can rotate those clips 180° downwards and this completely negates the issue.

Side note, you can glue the roof back into place, and it is secured with some additional tabs. Just be aware and don't force it. Seems like a finicky step imo, and I can't help but wonder if they intended for those clips to fully rotate out of the way? The bot mode doesn't lose any stability by not transforming it as they intended.

 

I wonder if someone will be able to produce a replacement waist piece, much like they have for Toro's backpack
