So, I've been on the fence on this one for a while since I've heard mixed thoughts about it but I'm still interested since I'm a sucker for robots that combine with their trailers.

How well does this scale with other recent MMC figures by the way?

I think it’s about 8”, so pretty close to Tyrantron. I have Calidus and Prominon is about 1/2” taller.

Ah, neat. I was hoping him to be Ultra-size to scale with figures like Kultur and Tyrantron.

I've seen a few pictures about an orange version of the Matrix sword this figure comes with, is it a different accessory?

IIRC, the core robot comes with the dual swords, and the cradle comes with the orange matrix sword.

The matrix sword for mine is blue, the matrix is painted a gold/orange but the blade is blue.

iirc, the orange one was a PSX pre-order exclusive. The blue one is the standard version of it.

Oh I see. I thought he was talking about the matrix part of it being orange, not the blade. The pics with the other sword, the blade looked red to me. I didn't realize that was the one he was talking about...The red blade version comes with black chrome Demonicus Prominon set.

Pretty sure he's referring to the blue and orange broadswords shown leaning on the armor rack here:

One of them was a PSX pre-order exclusive. I think it was the orange one.

Oh wow, I missed that pic scrolling through the pages. So there’s at least 3 versions of that sword??? I want that orange blade version now. Are there any vendors that would be able to get that? Or maybe direct from MMC?

Yeah, I was talking about that one. Shame is a PSX exclusive since they're out of stock now. I wish I could get it per separate.

I have him and I really like him. He isn't my favorite MMC release but he is a lot of fun and looks great. I'm a big MMC fan and this is actually my least favorite of the MMC figures I own, but it is still a good figure. If you like Nova Prime, I would recommend this guy. I'm not as handy or mechanical as I'd like, so the SND Nova Prime isn't for me because I think it involves more modification than I am comfortable doing. The Maketoys Nova Prime is too small. I just wish he came with a better blaster than the one he comes with, but that is such a minor detail.

I attached a pic which shows how he scales in armor with CW Optimus.

Does anyone know if the front chest armor piece can be removed or separated from the wings/backpack? If so, how?

No its all one piece of armour. You might be able to have the front half of the chest piece off but it would look like a figure missing pieces lol.

You mean the center chest piece? That looks like it can pop off, as with the two side pieces that swivel and peg around the waist. The whole chest is held in by a pins on each side at the top of the shoulders, which it swivels up and down on. Whats the best way to back out those pins? It seems possible...

Yeah he's my least favorite MMC figure too. Not that he's bad, he looks gorgious and imposing his articulation is so limited though! Still he looks great in the positions he can hit and I only payed 120 shipped so no real complaints at that price.

I'm not about to start disassembling my expensive figure haha so your guess on removing pins is as good as mine. You'd still have the back half of the chest piece wrapping half way around the figure and hanging off looking like crap.
