So, to those who don't know, in the new wfc line, cog got an update, with a new gimmick. Said gimmick is splitting into guns for other characters to use, a pretty rad evolution of the classic targetmaster gimmick.
So my question is, who else should get in on this?

From the amazon leak, We already know sixgun will, but who else? Sound off!

Personally, I'm hoping for a variety of characters. Brunt, in fitting with the other two. I also think it would be neat to get certain oddball characters that may not get it otherwise, such as Armada Overload or IDW Vos

 

Didn't the panel mention that the micromasters would serve as weapons also?

 

Indeed it did! This line has several iterations of targetmaster. Normal, "battlemasters," micromaster duos, and Cog

 

The gimmick is basically just “weapons” which itself is split into different sub-gimmicks, according to size-class:

• Battlemasters: Based off of both Targetmasters and Actionmaster Partners. Convert from robot mode to weapon mode.
• Micromaster Patrols: Sold in packs of two. Convert from robot mode to vehicle mode, and have the ability for the two Micromasters to combine into one weapon.
• Deluxe Weaponizers: Only one figure (Cog) to go off of so far but it seems like: Convert from robot mode to vehicle mode, and has the ability to split into a flurry of weapons for other figures to use.

To follow up on OP’s question, one suggestion by another board member was to do Rack’n’Ruin, which is a great idea. One Weaponizer I would like to see is Energon Wing Saber, which would be a neat Energon homage and would definitely tempt me into getting Siege Optimus.

Both of these would be amazing...if a titan class Tidal Wave somehow powered up a leader class Megatron, I would want it took just as absurd as the Armada original. To add to these ideas, a design based on Cybertron Wing Saber or Energon Wing Saber could both be the basis of a fantastic armor-up figure.

 

I thought he was mentioned by name in a rumor list.

 

I immediately thought of the Djd. But I don’t think Hasbro will. Apex is a good idea. I was still trying to think of a ‘con.

Only one that comes to mind is an Armada Demolisher. He looks the part even in bot mode.

I thought about Shockwave, but if they do Shockwave like that I think quite a few fans will flip out. I’d buy one tho —especially if there was an additional “unadvertised” classic blaster mode.

 

Brunt should totally get the Cog treatment

 

I saw someone else post this idea. Squawk-Box and Rain-Dance would be awesome. I guess Legout and Decibel would work too. I need a nice looking Squawk-Box though so they get my vote.

Would be a cool homage & his different colored pieces could make for nice armor & weapon upgrades for Hound, Prowl, etc.

Maybe Omega Supreme. I thought he would have been a good titan master...

They should have some characters that spilt into parts for combines. Like another Dinobot who would split into the hands, feet, etc for Volcanicus.
