I'd love to go into a store and find these things on shelves again, but I know these are going to be the most scalped items of the year.

I care most about these as well.

Looking back at my orders. Encore Anime Devy was $129.99 at BBTS. This isn't bad at all.

I have 2x each of the previous reissues so really hoping these are successful so more new reissue mold come out like SDCC dino cassettes and Trypticon.

That's difficult to measure if you don't do the same job for all of those years. Minimum wage is a better measure but even that sucks because it's full of jumps after long periods of stagnancy.

When I was collecting G2, minimum wage has just hit $4.25. Today it's $7.25, having been stuck there since 2007, and is probably due for another jump to $9. I've had a second part time job for 16 years that's always been a little above the minimum but hasn't quite doubled yet. So let's be lazy and say it averages out.

The price of 1992 Starscream was 20 and 2002 Starscream was 30. The jump to 35 is small. The fact is that while Devastator has jumped from 1992, it's fallen from 2012.

The real culprit here is that it's very easy to get people to pay lower prices. When your good job is offshored, you can cope with service industry pay by buying those cheaper products at Walmart. However, when prices start to rise, due to Chinese wanting human rights, good old executive entitlement, insane rent-seeking, or other reasons, there's no way for the customer to get more money. Every field you move to becomes "too expensive" and gets outsourced. That's why hollowing out the economy is so bad - it's a one-way trip.

Just watched a close up video from sdcc and overall plastic material seems to have degraded. It’s nit what I’m used to seeing like the original 80s. I’m not sure if I want to spend the msrp tho. Saw the Starscream video review and to me the plastic material look cheap and the child safety thing on the missiles is discouraging.

To be fair, you can't use all of those figures that were on display as an example. The WFC figures are hand painted samples.

Well, I can safely assume that we will see more and more of these reissues as the year continues. After the SDCC news, I have a feeling that we will get more characters with each wave from WFC.

Sure, I could be wrong. But as a one-off group of reissues, just seems strange.

I predict a Big Three seeker with each wave, Optimus to come in the last wave, and mini Cliffjumper.

I don't have any previous versions to compare with, but in hand both Bee and Swerve look and feel pretty good. Bee's head flap is a little loose and Swerve's arms are tight to the point where I don't want to risk breaking them by turning them, but apart from that the joints are pretty firm.

This video? If so, I'd have to say it's inconclusive. Hard to make a judgement without a decent side-by-side comparison with the OG figures.

@Maz did a review of the reissue Hot Rod, including how it stacks up to the vintage and earlier reissues. If his experience with Hot Rod carries over to the rest of the line, then we should be looking at reissues that are generally comparable in quality to the original releases.
