Has anyone noticed that the background of VWBB is the number 8(I think it is 18)Currently we have 23confirmed numbers, and one-fourth of these numbers are bumblebees? ?

This is more a general thing but this is the first time in a long time I've looked forward to everything Hasbro is doing, I absolutely love this new wave (with a few exceptions, Ratchet still doesn't look right to me), and the stuff in the other sublines looks great.

This has been an all around win few weeks.

Studio Series Drop Kick is going to display really nicely with Blackout.

I hope they do an F4 Jet as well.

But really with so many random repaints why no Grindor yet ?

    Well... I'm disapointed.
All that hype for a lot of repaints.

Dropkick helicopter mode is really cool, but his robot mode doesnt looks like a movie robot. Smooth arms, chunky legs... It looks like a movie head glued in a Generations body.

    Bee is cute.

Ratchet is missing a lot of paint in the right places (green feet, no blue lights at the shoulders), and that grey is too dark.
Blue Stinger is quite beautiful, I think. But with so many characters needing a good toy representation, why?
Orange Lockdown still looking good, besides the color. The mask is awesome. Maybe he will make a good mercenary friend to our bounty hunter.

I havent paid much attention to that Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 Bee thing. But now I see that Hasbro has put it as part of the line. I have no interest in golden bees or G1 toys (not saying that they are ugly or something like that). Thanks, Hasbro. Now I cant have a nice collection with the complete numbering. What is the point in putting G1 figures in a movie collection?

Yeah, something about Dropkick doesn't sit quite right with me. I like the head sculpt and the helicopter mode, but I don't think the body does a great job resembling the movie model. Still debating whether or not I want to buy it or not.

They could just repaint Blackout. As TLK Bumblebee in the 2 pack and the two AOE repaints prove, they're nor 100% committed to scale or accuracy, despite what it say on the boxes...

Thundercracker already messed up the numbering for anyone just interested in characters who were actually i the movies. Plus the main part of those Retro Rock & Pop sets are a movie figure, it's not like they just packaged some G1 toys (though the obsession Hasbro has with cassettes for the Bumblebee movie is quite hilarious).

Comparing with the CG, Dropkick has a fair amount of accurate moulding, just with the obvious omission of car parts.

without the scale difference a lighter Blackout doesn't seem to be a different enough figure from the original, even Lockdown soldier got a totally inaccurate orange alt mode to make him more different. but you know, we are talking about Hasbro here...

I mean this looks like a different altmode than the car one we've already seen, maybe they're not meant to look that much each other

Only if the Hasbro character is a miner like Megatron used to be; before starting the decepticon movement.

For both what he is in the toyline (random, almost certainly unwanted repaint) and his color scheme being mostly orange, Shadow Raider is now my canon Movieverse Alpha Bravo and nobody else can convince me that he's anyone else. Dropkick looks almost nothing like the movie model but I suspected that if they made him only a helicopter. Hopefully we do eventually get a car version along the line. VW Bee looks like one of the line standouts with engineering and accessories, and I'm definitely getting him. Ratchet is cool, if a bit underpainted like the other one, but I held off on that version for the DotM/AoE one because I prefer it. I am inexplicably in love with the KSI Drone. Interesting lineup, but I feel that we've been left a bit empty with two weird repaints. All now I wait for is that VW BB MPM.

    wait wait wait

we're getting a Studio Series Dropkick... and it ISN'T THE GODDAMN JAVELIN?

    God DAMN it.

As hype as I am for that gorgeous chopper mode, I've wanted an AMC Javelin transformer for the better part of ten years now.

Well considering every piece of information about size ever released for Movie Characters contridicts every other piece I don't really car what some berk and Paramount says about Grindor being bigger the only reason this is even a thing is someone decided to downscale Blackout in later released data for some inexplicable reason - I wouldn't expect Hasbro to resize it based on such wonkey information when they turn into almost identical helicopters.

Especially as Hasbro's Ratchet is clearly to small. Scale is more of a marketing gimmick than a truth on Studio Series toys.
I just want Grindor as he's a named Character - same reason I'd want Mohawk.

Perhaps he can be done in a giftset sometime if they don't want to release him individually.
Being "Similar" to Blackout isn't a big deal really as They have already got plans to sell duplicate Bumblebees galore and the same Starscream with a different paint job.

hopefully we'll get his car mode later on down the line

Grindor is so briefly seen in his alt mode in ROTF I honestly wouldn't know he was a different, larger helicopter if I hadn't been told.
