Very sorry to hear that Chris. He got some extra time with his friends and family, and there is a lot to be said for that. But death is a wanker.

It does sound as though your wife isn't being fair in this situation. As long as you told her previously and gave her plenty of notice, she can't be making other plans without running it by your first. You are well within your right to rant.

I'm going to miss the Primemasters. I'd rather have had the PM's with faceplates a la Titan Masters, but the decoy suits are just lovely.

My thoughts are with you dude, days like this can be tough.

But in my own pathetic way to help try make you smile a little, I can say that while Sligo did not have cuss-free picnic areas, I can confirm that while wondering around a Abbey exhibition that there were some cows that were very small... or possibly just very far away.

    faraway.jpg

And yes, I totally took a photo of some tiny miniature cows for the express purpose of a future fr. ted joke. Cause I'm cool like that.

Fuck me, certainly report them. I hate my dentist. He is a bit rude, has terrible breath (not a good sign), but he has never done any unnecessary dental work on me.

My heartfelt condolences @Seeaich - much love to you my friend.

@jame5y - that’s a real sucky move, I can only condone what others have said about pushing back a little. We are local to each other so maybe if all else fails we could have a cheeky pub meet up in town with some toys :thumb

This is the second year in a row my wife has bought me tickets for TFN, she takes the piss here and there about my hobby but overall supports it and I can’t put into words how lucky, and grateful I am.

This is also true but, dammit, if he didn't deserve more time for how he totally knuckled down and fought for it! It's a kicker.

@Brum Bot Cheers, Rob! Still hasn't really sunk in that that daft wee face will be missing from now on. I'm not gonna claim we were the best of bestest buds but we were mates, and on a few New Years Eve Birthday Dos I was his one-man entourage. We had some laughs, a damn shame there won't be any more with him.

On a more escapist note, un deliverie especiale!

    We're in the GUNNY!

FINALLY! Metalhawk gets his G1 Jet Rifle-riffing Decoy Suit megablaster!
    DSC_0066.jpg

And, well, I'm not saying I went Nonnef purely for this fella (because technically I didn't and bought blind) but I couldn't protest if you got that impression...

"GOOD PARTS COME, SWOOP HAS GOOD PARTS!"
    DSC_0061.jpg

The extra wing sections were bastards to get in but the results are well worth it! Be aware also that one of the warhead tolerances was out so I had to shave down then superglue one of 'em but DAYUM was it worth it!

Loving the ability to do a more 'Toon/Comic robot mode wing pack configuration to boot!

Oh, and the other fellas get some gear too! :p

    DSC_0068.JPG
Despite the necessary roughness of applying the wing sections, and the warhead snagging, overall I recommend the Nonnef DinoGuns. A great bit of kit for the price.

Aaaand now I spot Swoop has his sword the wrong way round, the doofus!

@Seeaich Sorry to hear your sad news :(

As for dentists, I’m fairly sure mine did her training at Guantanamo Bay....I like to think there isn’t much that’ll phase me but I hate going there with a vengeance.

    Robots? I got nothing....

@Seeaich - that Swoop now looks even more lush. Nice one.

My receipt email for Punch indicates that Repuggles is still available on Amazon.com (not co.uk) for $24 so if anyone wants one that's obviously an option. I will cogitate on it until they have sold out again........

Greetings UKers. I'm in your country eating your Beef Wellingtons.

It's hotter here than at home! Where is the rainy grey English summer I was promised?

Cambridge is quite nice though, a University town like my own. Full of tourists though, here to pay money to fall into the river trying to punt.

Your London tube and trains are utterly baffling though. Did you know you can't get a train to Cambridge from Paddington Station? Because the lady at the information desk didn't and directed us there. She was very friendly though, even if a bit pushy about us needing Oyster Cards. We caught the train from Kings Cross at the platform right beside "Harry Potter and the Line of Tourists".

That said, the train ride was beautiful and remarkable in that my colleagues and I agreed that he countryside north of London is almost identical looking to Southern Ontario farmland in terms of vegetation and the fields. If we'd suddenly appeared on the train in some sort of teleporter accident I'd swear we were still near home... until I saw a house or one of your fine backwards automobiles.

Someone in here mentioned a Forbidden Planet here in town and Google thinks it is still in business at least so I plan to wander over sometime this week.

I haven't been back here in my ancestral home since I was a boy. Feels good. Need to prevent myself from doing that thing where I accidentally imitate accents tho.

    @barry & @MyTea Boc,
Thanks guys, it's been a crappy day but Katie's coming over tomorrow so we'll likely have a good chat about her Mum and I'll make sure I remind her how proud she would be if she was still here.

Katie's got a couple of standup spots at the upcoming Edinburgh Festival so keeping her in the best frame of mind going into that is what I'm going to focus on doing as my Mum will inevitably do her usual thing and start going on about how it's a waste of her money going all that way just for a couple of 5 minute gigs.

Families, they either break your heart or drive you up the bloody wall.

Followed the Beef Wellington (and a dry cider) with a blackberry crumble with custard.

    Bloody hell, UK.

I preordered P/CP on Amazon.com. The price is actually very good for international shipping, but if the preorders come up on Kapow soonish, I think I'll cancel it for convenience's sake.

I have no idea, mate, Bombs on the back of his wings in bot mode is wrong an' all, innit? Some people!
Now I'm not sure I've put the wing bits on "right" (or at least as intended) myself to be honest but I prefer the circuit details on the underside so there's not an obvious plain patch if he's wielding one of his missiles/bomb launchers.

It decided to holiday abroad this year without telling us first. We're all in shock about it too.

Anybody here interested in Binaltech Alert?
It's another one of my favourite pieces that I need to move on. Has been opened and transformed a few times but other than that, it's mint.
30 quid plus shipping for it.

    IMG_20180623_175718-01.jpeg

Also I'm upgrading some lenses and need to shift my lovely canon 70-200mm f/4 IS L lens. It's great and has served me well at air shows, motor races and it's great for moon shots. Thinking of 450 for it and would prefer to sell in person to ensure it isn't damaged in the mail.

    2018-07-17_09-01-05.jpg

As always, PM me if you interested.
