No. And we have the car and plane parts clearly visible on Shatter, so there would have to be some Ant-Man level size changing in order for her to turn into a true-to-size Harrier. I can't see them going that direction.
so ... when a bot-dad and a bot-mom like each other very much ... they ... turn into a jet together ?
So looks like the designs are still complex. Which will only make Bumblebee look even MORE out of place.
I too am thinking that the duo combining together into a larger vehicle would make quite a lot of sense. 14 year old humor aside, it makes easily as much sense as any gestalt or the smaller "duo" combiners of old.
30 foot? Blackout had the same design as Grindor (they used the same 3d model), and grindor towerd over Optimus Prime, who was 28-32 feet IIRC. Black Out was around 50 feet (I know he's listed as somewhere around 30 feet, but the listings aren't always accurate, especially with minor characters. Starscream is listed as the same height as OP, despite being noticeably shorter). Moreoever, Blackout had a very blocky, robust upper body with lots of mass. In the city scene where he transforms in TF 1, there may be some visual cheats that they're using, but for the most part, it is a smooth, believable transition. The most obvious culprit of mass shifting is Lockdown, but even then, turning a lamborghini into a 22 ft Transformer is one thing; changing a muscle car into a freaking jet is an entirely different matter, and would require more than simply visual cheats. PS. Starscream didn't mass shift; his F-22 was simply not an authentic size. Every time we see him transform, his cockpit, wings, and jet turbines seem to be the same size, and he's not significantly shrinking when transforming into bot mode (see forest fight). I just think they simply shrunk the F-22 raptor model for him.
The head of Shatter also looks like Lockdowns with slight variations. The biggest variation seems to be around the mouth, I'm thinking that she just has a retractable mouthplate like Prime for battle. Dropkicks face itself looks exactly like Optimus Prime just with red optics, and a new helmet .
When you say that Shatter might have a mouthplate, I instantly thought, she would remind me of Nightbird.
Perhaps the latter Bayformers. They are definitely not the horrible slobbering spiky silver giant blobs of the first three movies.
