Here's the collage of references I was using earlier to check this thing out if anyone's interested.


I feel like one tiny thing that would go a long way is just making the dragon eyes a bit larger and more rounded but maybe seeing it painted will change my mind about that, the dragons face looks quite calm whereas TM2 Meg's Dragon mode always looked pissed off to me.

And the ball park for TM2 Megs scale is 32cm-33cm as far as I'm concerned, my current chart is based of a deleted scene for a reference but the other day in this thread I think I got it down a bit more precisely so I'm saying Megs ought to be 32cm. 30cm is certainly close enough for them to claim MP scale though in my book, especially when all we have in the current official MPs are characters he never appeared with and even if we get MP Inferno, Waspinator or Rhinox from S1 in MP form there's still no reference to compare those guys to him with.

Now how are we going to place a sticker of a Pred symbol on his left peck dome?

Not bad if you want a more organic take on dragon Megatron. I prefer Doragon's more mechanical look, but but this guy makes a strong contrast to Gorira that doesn't look out of place. It feels almost thematic.

 

And here is the first competitor to PE`s "Mega Dragon". War BW Transmetall 2 Megatrons begins! In the future, we expect from them Cryoteks. YEESSSS!!!

 

Nah. I think they're so completely different, it's probably not going to be uncommon for people to get both. I probably will.

 

I like this a lot. Hope they actually chrome him.

 

The body is good, but the face kills it for me. The lips are a bit too big, and the nose doesn't look right. I think I'll stick with PE.

I think there is one other company with a Megs, the one with the judge wig. The BW Dragon Megatron wars seem to be in full force.

 

It’s probably because of other companies doing Optimal Optimus, and this one fits with him more so than Transmetal Megatron. Once we get More Beast Wars figures and especially Transmetals, we’ll more than likely get that design.

TransArt Toys Megatron (can’t remember the name they came up with for him). It’s a miniaturized Megatron, just as their Optimal Optimus and Primal Prime are, so it’s a completely different scale than this and PE’s Megatron.

 

Loving the organic details this has.   Wonderful alternative for those who want an updated TM2 Megatron that has more organic detail then the PE version. Hope this line dos well enough to give us more updated BW figures in general.

True, but my point is just that it's another offering. Also wouldn't that technically be in scale for those looking to scale Primal/Megs with G1 guys? Just a thought.

Yeah they'r...kinda in scale with G1 MP's but for some reason beast wars made Prime and Megs huge. They work with the mmp10 and oversized Megarton the wei-jang put out pretty well though

 

I like it. Hopefully the price and quality are great too
