I would like to see a different character (just like all third party company making figure they keep doing the same character and design when they could be doing a different character)

We already have a masterpiece of that Prime, an even better knock off of that Prime. Plus Black Mamba is already working on one, as is WeiJiang, who's Prime looks pretty fucking awesome!! I don't think we need another one.

 

Dreams do come true. They actually made a workable transformable prime using his new cgi render. I thought that would be impossible. How much is it? Is it on amazon?

They had the ILM file in 2014 with the duel model kit... And I disagree about the head and chest detail. That figure isn't and wasn't made to be a replica of the studio model whatsoever. Sure it has some detail in the ab area but the head is no better than others produced. (Knight Prime) Also it's been stated the voysger was a carry over from AOE.

 

Just saw Toyworld's version. Nope, UT has my money for this rendition.

 

I too am not a fan of devastator in rotf but it would be cool to see it (still wouldn’t buy but would be interesting.)

I disagree. Peterbilt Prime has, what, 30 transforming figures to his name? Including a million versions of the rotf leader and the MPM and an even better KO of that. Knight Prime has THREE main line figures, all of which are pretty flawed. He needs more

The DMK should have been much better than it is, but that doesn't have anything to do with this. Have you seen better painted versions of TLK Prime? I painted mine and the head sculpt looks better than UT's version. The depth and accuracy of the molded details is simply better. The SS line has proven this too. UT is doing an amazing job, but they simply can't compete for full accuracy with the only company that has direct access to the files. Like I said, almost everything is gonna be better with Challenger, by far, but no, their head sculpt and chest details aren't as good. It's not a knock on UT. It's just a fact. And honestly part of it is because the voyager is just so much less complex, so large pieces like the chest can be one molded piece.

 

...whaaaaat? You mean they had that awesome figure all the way back in AoE, and they didn't choose to release it when that design only had two shitty toys available at the time and would've been a guaranteed moneymaker? Proof?

Yea, I didn't like any version of him, but it would b interesting to see a third party take on the ROTF Devastator.

 

I'm all for new characters but I wouldn't call the decade old leader mold and an MPM that's flawed a lot of attention and I'm talking masterpiece scale/quality/accuracy. By attention I ment third-party companies taking a stab at first trilogy Optimus. As you mentioned, so far we've only received KO's based off of the MPM (I will say that the Black Apple version might be good enough).

This goes to show Hastak have full access to the ILM CAD files but never fully realising the potential of it. It's always about cutting corners & maximising profits.
