So that Shockwave is supposed to be the same class and price as the Warrior Starscream that already has a review on this site? That would be crazy considering that Starscream lacks knees or thigh swivels.

As crazy flawed as the RiD Warrior Soundwave is suddenly he looks really good next to the Cyberverse ones. I wonder if his head's size is comparable enough to do a head transplant.

ED: I'm stupid, it's a One-step changer Soundwave.

 

The code names based on Seinfeld characters got a chuckle out of me.   Then the photos of the actual toys made me sad. These just look bad and very cheap in quality.  

 

Very sad in Transformersland today. Lame toys followed by lame show.  What\'s next I hope they don\'t destroy the Generations line. 

 

Unlike most here, I still think Shockwave looks kinda decent. Maybe it's just the stock photos been extremrly unclear, but I still wonder if Shockwave's legs can move independently at the hips. If the Cyberverse Warrior class Starscream is anything to go by, I hope that's not the case.

I can’t put my finger on it but Shockwave is giving me IDW Whirl vibes for some reason.


*EDIT: It’s probably because he looks grumpy (expressive) with just one eye and no face.

 

So comes and goes another day where I don't quite understand the hate. I still really like the way Shockwave looks in this line, despite his faults. The head looks pretty expressive, which is shocking that such a thing is possible for a robot that doesn't even have a real face.
The only thing that actually bothers me about this is the fact that he doesn't have a hose for his gun arm, but still has a part that looks like a hose would plug into.

 

Ok not too bad. Shockwave looks like some fun and I'm surprisingly intrigued by megatron even though he has no elbows. Alright.

 

I'm sorta down with getting that Megatron, but I'm stunned by how freaking big he is. Given the simplicity and aggressive amount of hollow in play they could have easily gotten away with that as a deluxe, maybe even a scout. Shockwave's dumb spider tank is alright, but I couldn't pin down what felt so off on Prime. I think it's the windows above his windows

 

I agree on megatron. Especially since he doesn't have elbows! I'm quite fond of him though.

Prime does look off though. The windows are comically large. Also the arms are possibly an issue. They're short and the hands are obscured.

 

It's sad when he has the least articulation and worst alt mode of the group shot, but the best colors and paint job.

 

I think you mean colours since he doesn't have much actual paint. I aged though, he does look nice.

 

I think I\'ll wait until that Shockwave gets knocked off in voyager size.

 

I wish Hasbro would do an honest photo shoot using scruffy middle-aged men instead. They can still show kids... just in the background glued to their phones, completely apathetic to the new action figures.
