If I still bought toys I defiantly buy this figure upgrade kit had sold me on it primal being hover board sucks but who really uses him except for head mode this looks better to original toy figure

Noted. Robo Toy Base is my go-to retailer for Asia but they don't have any preorders yet.

Never purchased an aftermarket kit before; how difficult are these to modify the figures? Do you need tools beyond a screwdriver? If so, are they usually included in the kit?

One thing nice about these newer toys is even though Hasbro cut corners due to rising costs of everything, it also made it simpler to add/replace/modify certain parts like hands, feet, etc. All of DNA Kit so far does not involve breaking anything, just removing a few screws if needed. This one looks no different. Only area to look for is the Wings, can't if there's a PIN in the original toy or not. Might just be held by friction for easy removal.

From the reviews I watched, I believe the wings are friction tabbed in. I am willing to bet everything else in the kit just plugs into ports or screw holes. If you want to separate Primal from Optimal, you would need to knock out a pin, but that shouldn't be necessary for these kits. Long story short, virtually no assembly required, hehe.

Looks great. I hope they make a Throne of Primes set, too - mostly red accents on the wheels and swords, black guns. That'd be glorious

Wow. I don't think I recall any 3rd party add-on integrating so naturally into a Hasbro TF before. This is an insta-buy. I hope they do one for the Throne of the Primes version as well.

Nedd an sdcc variant. This is an incredible set, especially considering the price, imo.

This looks fantastic! My only possible complaint is that I'd like the Optimal Optimus robot be able to use the smaller Primal's sword and the smaller Primal be able to use Optimal's rifles. It's too bad they didn't include new, more articulated hands too. Otherwise it would have been a simple matter of making them 5mm compatible like I assume the rest of the holes and pegs on here are.

Looks fantastic, except for the orange gun. That's a terrible decision. Hope that gets painted
