Actually, the size of MP10 was set by MP9’s height

    Nope, not everyone.

    Welcome to the board :thumb

His head looks the same in the movie as in most of Season 2.

I'm personally after the rounded S1 head - that's my childhood Optimus. Look forward to seeing how that turns out.

I appreciate some of the recent digibashes but I personally think light grey for thighs and hips is enough. With metallic silver for gas tanks and smoke stacks for something different this time.

I think white is definitely too much.

Yes i was thinking takara and i agree the white is too much i wanted to do chrome on the grill and stacks but making that look real in a mock up is hard so i left it white because i was lazy. But i think its a good representation of what it can look like since i know all we have is a gray model. Not sure why it was so bland or disgusting to some i mean one. For someone to take time and effect to put a mock up for people just to see and to make a jackhole statement shown above is ridiculous. Its one thing to get like that if your looking at a real product vs a digibash mock up.

I also wanted to see what white legs would look like since people requested it

Overall im excited about this release and am going to preorder and sell my mp10

Nope, most of my experience here has been MUCH better than other TF boards. I spend more time in the movie threads and find that crowd to be a bit more pleasant overall. For me personally it seems the anti movie fans will really slam the movie and perhaps the movie fans don't want to treat others the way they've been treated. And now movie fans have gotten older and increased in number, bringing with them even more pleasantness.
I also find it helpful to use the ignore feature.

I always appreciate it when people share something positive here.

There’s actually no need for anyone to be shot down or have sarcastic responses thrown at them for taking the time to contribute something - whether it’s a digibash or photography, an excited post about a particular feature they’ve just noticed for the first time (I forgive people for not reading Every...Single...Page and taking notes before sharing their thoughts), or even a little bit of harmless speculation.

As Sam said, welcome to the boards.

I believe most on here are quite friendly. You get the occasional sass or snarky attitude but it’s not bad. There are some gold star contributors too. Lots of fantastic speculation and some stellar newsies.

    Welcome buddy.

@khamla Your bashes look fantastic. Much, much better than mine imo (which may not be saying much, but still lol.) As others have said welcome and don't let anyone put you off contributing here. This is an awesome site. Whatever occasional issues it has are just those the whole internet (unfortunately and much to my eternal bafflement and lament) suffers from.

Nope, IMO this board is actually the nicest ones around. Not just for transformers but with other toy lines too. The mods here are fair too. That’s why I’ve been here for years.

But I must admit that this place has its fair share of “aggressive” posters but just ignore them, stick to your point and move on.

If they troll or flame you, action will be taken.

Yeah, I concur with you. It’s not the movie threads but any speculation based thread such as masterpiece etc.

You did a great Digibash job. I think I may do a wire translation of the prototype figure and post that along side the colored digibashes, and the original, and cartoon models. I think the actual figure to me, looks like don figueroa drawing the animation model. His style just fits that figure, and honestly, it's awesome. I think the white is nice tho on your digi, because Megatron was released in both Grey and silver.. I would expect we may see a Cartoon and a Toy accurate paint release sometime, and possibly a few 3Ps releasing their KOs of him as well. I'm gonna wait, and see, but for me, I think I will be buying the Hasbro version. I just hope they release him for the collector in mind, and steer away from Packaging like this...
I have this packaging. It's nice to see the figure, but it's a pain to store and return MP-10 to the box. Thankfully I have already packaged him up in anticipation of selling him along with a few other figures I own on ebay. Tho, I was approached by some board members here, they say there's a fan to fan sales section.. I haven't seen it yet, But I think this time, I will post those listings here and see what friends on TFW2005 may need them. :)

I did like the Hasbro rerelease they did of MP-10 in a more Collector friendly box, but overall, it still wasn't as good and hot as TAKARA's box.

Another key point is the clam shell inside. If done correctly with an overlay, then straps and twist ties aren't necessary to hold the figure in place. I am hoping they do the same for the 35th anniversary Bot.

Could it be? For the first time in my life I've actually disagreed with Zambot on an artistic/creative choice? Well it had to happen sometime, law of averages and all. I totally disagree with this statement, this is cartoon Optimus in the flesh and not some re-imagined version so anything other than that would be a travesty. I'd still buy it though, haha!

I'm doubling down in my confidence that his hips and thighs will be slightly off-white with a metallic sheen (like Megatron), metal sheen yellow crotch bits, silvery grey rib stripe and face, and chrome pipes, ab/grill, and gas tanks (Sunstreaker is proof positive chrome is still part of the heavily cartoon oriented direction). I'm thinking his red will be glossy paint like the carbots, but it's possible he might be glossy red in alt mode and metallic red in bot mode since very few of those surfaces will be used in both modes. No idea about the blue, though. Can't wait to find out! Running lights on the collar will be red like in all of s1 & 2, but if he has Movie damage chest pieces they'll be yellow there (and flat in shape).

I think it is a definite we won’t get twist ties or straps. I can l’t think of any TT MP figures I own that have them (excluding MPMs)

I don’t mind if off-white is used because it’s plain white, there will probably be the issue of yellowing...

The coloured versions look great. I'm still convinced V3 will be a fascinating engineering marvel, but I accept that the simpler transformation will be sacrificed for the increased articulation and shift in proportions. For example, it appears that the outer wings of the front bumper will tuck up and behind the front glass in bot mode. That's not how Prime's animation transformation "rolls", but oh well. Sunstreaker's toon transformation doesn't have his torso and backpack spin around along two different axes of rotation. Arcee's toon transformation appears to include her legs ballooning in size, while she collapses into her alt mode and grows wheels.

For anyone who is interested, the approximate length of the arms of a human male are generally where the knuckle of the thumb falls roughly below the seat in your pants, or roughly, a third of the way down the thigh, from the hip to the knee. If you look at V1, V2, and V3, each of them comes close. The rest of the proportion changes are in the breadth of the torso, and the length of the legs.

MP10 Has stunted legs, which gives him similar proportions of a gorilla, which is where the comment "Ape Arms Prime" comes from. So maybe his arms are correct in length, but his stunted legs don't make him look as slim and trim and cartoon accurate as 35th Anniversary Prime. (oh? Is this how TT will sidestep the MP numbering and make this a special figure outside of the counting? Thereby saving them having the line or collection feature 3 primes, now it would be 2 primes and 1 special edition? This would give them cover, and keep the ratio of Megs to Primes in the numbered line the same, while giving special status to Optimus Ver. 3, and on top of that could open up a Special Edition section in the MP line, where maybe we get an equally badass character like Deathsauras or Skyfire?)

    Anyhow.. Cheers. :)
