Keep in mind in the original SF you hold the button and let it go when doing specials. Not sure if that's causing your issue.

Yup. The input in SF2 was broken. It was supposed to work the same way (and it does) but it also allowed you to press the button to activate the move. You can do single button "two in ones" by doing this. Press Fierce, do your quarter circle release fierce. You'll get your fierce punch and fireball with just the one button input.

The original Street Fighter is frustrating as hell. The special moves barely work and guys like Birdie only have to land three hits to kill you.

I played the original Street Fighter in arcades with two big buttons you had to punch to get different strengths.
How did I ever get a fireball back then if I was holding the button down?
Back then we called it "Ball Fire!" -which I think is what Ryu is saying to this day.

Small patch coming the 28th so definitely good news. Hopefully the online play and lobby issues will improve.

Nice. Been playing blazblue ctb in the meantime, probably the most fun ive had with an anime fighter since guilty gear xx and the netcode is amazing.

If they cant get anniversary up to snuff, kinda sucks but hey at least its the nicest offline version of a2 ever released!

Patch is live now. This is just speculation but I'm thinking that todays patch will improve some of the bigger issues and when the Japanese version is released we will have a bigger patch that fixes everything. At least this is what I'm hoping for. Personally almost all my online games have been nearly flawless. It's either been perfect or unplayable, no in between.

Looks like switch got left out of the patch with only "tba" as a date. Oh well back to bb ctb.

Lobbies are a little better but no real improvements. Very disappointing but not surprised.

Looking at the game list, I see they left a certain game out.. The Movie based one.

I'm strongly considering getting this. Be fun to play classic SF games.

It’s on sale on switch, I’m thinking about it... it’s an Eshop sale. 30 bucks.

Definitely worth it, but I don't know about the Switch controller for fighting games.

Don't know about the other games but ST is completely dead online. Getting a ranked or casual is almost impossible and if you do get paired with someone that's the only person the game will match you with. The matchmaking is so horrendous. Such a shame.

    That's too bad.

I haven't played online much -but I wasn't impressed with the matchmaking at the time.

Just too many issues to list. Matchmaking is a joke, the lobby system is horrible, and most importantly they promised us "arcade perfect" gameplay and they couldn't even get that right for ST lol. The Japanese version comes out in the fall so there's still a slim possibility we could get a patch that fixes everything then but who knows.

So the general consensus is that this compilation isn't "arcade perfect" and that online matchmaking is nonexistent. A shame too, because I planned on getting this for the Switch.
