Here's one I did from last year, since you seem you're interested: Age demographic poll (please vote) Just turned drinking age (21) last month. I grew up with the Titan reprints of the '80s Marvel comic, particularly the last volume with that big splash page of Unicron done by Geoff Senior right in the front, and occasionally renting the '86 movie from Blockbuster. Of course being late-90's born I watched Unicron Trilogy and Transformers Animated as they aired too, and Beast Wars on YouTube before the big copyright crackdown. The teaser trailer for the 2007 movie, the one with the Mars rover discovering a Transformer, absolutely blew my mind as a 9 year old.
43. Watched the movie when it debuted in 1986. Didn't care that OP died. Gave me incentive to blow up my G1 OP with firecrackers and melted him down. God, the stupid things I did when I was a kid. I regret those moments of idiocy. I miss OP now.
41-45 I'm a big fan of the TF series because mostly I remember watching it with my grandfather. He was fascinated how cars can turn into robots. For the record my grandfather was 65 (I think) when he first watched G1 if you need it for the polls.
41, 42 in August. I remember the g1 show, collecting the toys with my friends, (along with He- Man, GI Joe, Star Wars, MASK, etc). Every year for my birthday I would rent TFTM and Tron and just had a great time with it. As I got older I moved into comic books and music. Got into collecting toys about 2010 and I'm still enjoying it. Now it's pretty much only generations and Masterpiece toys, and movies or tv. Not a fan of Michael Bay, but I do love watching robots fight and transform into things.
36. I was really young watching g1 in 84... 3 years old but loved it.... At that time there were many themes in the show I was too young to understand but it hooked me.... still to this day when I hear the g1 opening themes I get a smile and when I hear the ending outro themes I get slightly sad because when I was young I was always sad when the show ended... I wanted it to go on forever... and we had nothing close to netflix so you couldnt binge watch.
Let's face it. This is a generational toy and for the most part TFs are not really the "IT" toy anymore for this generation. That and we're all getting so much, much older as the years walk on by. I'm not ashamed to admit it...but I am 46. YIKES! HOW DID THAT HAPPEN? *Groan* I still like making my Jetplague Funny Formers on here...(You people get me...heh!) But I'm hard at work trying to make another dream happen.....writing books and short stories. Back in my 20's, I was trying to make a comic book career happen...I pushed that aside when I realised it just wasn't going to happen all by myself. *Sigh*
