Those are cool. But i wonder if either of the designs from this series are designed to transform/with alt modes. Youd think that if youre making new characters for a transformers series youd design them with alt modes, but im not sure with this cartoon

 

IDW pays for a license, IIRC.

So, there’s a miniscule chance that Hasbro might sell the license to some studio if they had an excellent pitch to a well receptive ear.

I still hope Takara Tomy’s Zoids Wild and Studio Trigger’s Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad Gridman, and Darling in the Franxx, are part of a broader resurgence of mecha anime, which seemed to have contracted a bit compared to the roaring Aughts.

Furthermore, there’s obviously a big difference from Zoids Wild, which might be closer to Boulder Media—which I also did not know had been consolidated into Hasbro, and Studio Trigger. All of which is to say that I’d like something a bit more seinen than shonen.

That’s gorgeous. I still haven’t bought anything first party as an adult collector, but I do like the mininamlism of the two. However, I don’t feel I need a largely hollow, hundred dollar cybertronian taoist/Xenoblade diaroma when I’ve got MasterMade’s Trypticon on my desk. Though, some fistfuls of titan masters and other accessories would inch me closer to a sale.

 

Just watched the ep. Once again, nothing about Primal strikes me as being specifically "Primal". Literally anyone in the vote could have won and the only difference would have been a CG skin swap

 

PotP Megatronus is the version they are using for Forged to Fight (it differs from the concept you posted here) I’m curious to finally see the alt mode, which is apparently some kindof jet.

You know, he resembles Megatron from Transformers Prime... Yo, Hasbro, I have a remold for you...

Kind of want a toy of this Solus too, despite this iteration being blander than a piece of cardboard and unlike Megatronus I cannot see a way to make the design transform (maybe as an Elita-1 remold, with all the alt mode hanging off her back?) I mean, despite the blandness, I can customize the theoretical toy to my liking.

I agree with everyone else who likes this episode...Optimus Primal turning into Optimal Optimus was really good to watch. Good episode.

I'm disappointed they gave Optimal Optimus some kind of arm cannon instead of his chest guns.

Maybe the animators looked at the handheld rifle configuration that is very prominent in the toy's stock photos and gave it their own spin  

 

As mentioned by some people, it's also a bit sad that he didn't get to say any of his classic BW lines.

Really appreciate that the big reveal was ruined by the thumbnail. Great episode but definitely more anemic thanks to the crucial moment robbed from us. 

 

I’ve just given up watching this series. Glad to know I’m not missing anything.
