Will be displaying MP10 in truck mode, V3 in robot mode.  Too much damn money spent between replacement hands and \"upgraded\" parts to get rid of him!

I forgot the original MP Prime had a fake grille. Could've sworn it was real until I checked mine.

Still, I don't think it devalues the previous MPs or ruins any future ones.

Sorry for this post, just barely catching up and wasn’t aware of the clean-up.

    Back on topic-
    Those high res pics, amazing.

For those that are a bit concerned about gaps and tolerances, I think once it is painted/colored, it will improve tremendously.

I hope that with this magazine reveal means that he will be released much sooner than not.

You mean how the front wheels are hidden and the sides of his abdomen are formed? I love how they accomplished that in those two, and I’d also love to see a new approach in v3.

It’s stoked to see if he has head/face options and what they’ll be (I’m pretty sure he will).

I think he meant having to rotate his body around for transformation.. OP never rotated his body in cartoon. But this transformation is already far away from the original toy.

Oh right, of course! I hope they leave that out too, I’d love it if his transformation included the lowering to his knees approach from the cartoon — even if the rest of the transformation is off model.

Compared to the animation model he's not as long legged, probably why his abs look like they could be a tad fuller, they may actually try to incorporate that cartoon transformation now in his.

Speaking of his abs, I wonder if they were designed smaller to allow for transformation with ab add ons. Would explain why there is somewhat of a gap between his abs and back kibble. I thought I saw somewhere Prime was drawn with 2 different kind of abs. I would love to see how exactly they are going to handle his damaged parts.

I love the mold and I like the face sculpt. But I LOVE that custom head (I wish I knew who did it). I would pay for that custom head alone.

There pretty much the same head, the top has added details. We're catching Prime 3.0 as if hes looking down versus straight ahead. Nice to know he will have a neck though.

Likewise. Some people on this thread will justify anything Takara does on the sole basis that they are Takara. They can do no wrong.

If you want, you could probably even find it for sale for double that amount once released. But does that mean that it truly costs that much? I paid around 190 euros for Megatron, shipping included. That was the release price. Some paid more than 250 euros for it. They didn't have to, but they chose to. Then don't complain afterwards and claim that the price was 250 euros. This Optimus Prime will not cost 350 USD.

This prime is gonna be $300 USD I assume... but I just can't live with owning a KO of an official MP prime. The proportions are right and you know it's gonna be mostly painted like MP-36. Can't wait for this!

Even more impressive in high res!

Has anyone yet translated all the Japanese writing and does anyone know what his designated number in the MP line is?

No designated number yet. It wouldn't need to be translated. They use the numeral designations in the magazines, too. MP-XX would be easily spotted in the text if it was there.
