Yeah, I just put a Leo together yesterday and I think he's pretty great too. My only complaints about it are that some of the poly balljoints are a bit loose (fixable, at least), and that beam saber storage. I just know those are gonna snap eventually. And while it's true that the kit doesn't need any stickers, a bit of silver from a spare sticker sheet behind that eye sensor does wonders.
This has already happened with some Leos as reported on the reddit, so take precautions as necessary.
I'm not surprised. With how great the engineering is on this kit as a whole, that's a really big problem.
HGAC Leo is damn filled with polycaps. Bandai somewhat cheapened out grunt suits by putting those polys. Can nail polish fix this?
Especially with Build Divers having the Jiyan Altron and Love Phantom, I feel like a Shenlong, Altron, and Deathscythe aren't too far off.
Can someone tell me where this Moon Gundam is from please? 『機動戦士MOONガンダム』よりガンプラ「HGUC 1/144 ムーンガンダム」の情報が公開!サザビーに通じる肩形状をはじめ全身ディテールを再現! Looks pretty cool and it says something about it being a precursor to Sazabi?
Comic running in Gundam Age, takes place in the Moon Moon colony from ZZ Gundam. I think Zeonic is scanlating it. Not really sure about the in-universe design connection with the Sazabi since I haven't been reading it.
ok so i plan to start working on hi-res wing zero this week now that i'm on vacation, and some of you already know i will paint some parts to match the color scheme of my other wingzeros... and this is what i have: i already used some on my custom "build tiger" Tryon 3 some time ago and the end results were... not smooth (although i dont regret it ) any advice on working with these? since i dont want wing zero to look messed up. thanks in advance
Mix some in a seperate bottle with some thinner, then apply multiple light coats with a soft, fine bristle brush.
Love Phantom has almost nothing to do with Deathscythe except for jacking its weapon (and IIRC, it's the EW-styled scythe). It's a Strike Freedom with a Noir Striker.
Splitlip said it best, that's how I would handle hand painting. Especially when hand painting. --- Looking at the Full Saber, I was curious about the new v-crest. But the I looked at the original. The difference more obvious, broader, lower and the inner points are much narrower. ...with that 00 segway, working slowly into the 0 Raiser, while adding more parts onto the Gundam body. I'm just letting glue dry on the seams of the binders tonight.
Hi guys, I'm not sure is this is the right place to ask this, but I hope you can point me in the right direction. I recently got the Super Minipla Daizyujin and DragonCaesar. I was looking at the Gundam kits and was wondering which ones may be the same height as the super minipla? The Real Grade kits look to be pretty close.
Yeah, 1/144 kits will be in the general ballpark. Probably slightly shorter (general ~5" tall, whereas the Super Minipla are about 6"), but any other scale will get you either way smaller (1/200 scale) or way larger (1/100, 1/60 scales). If you're trying to get closer to the mark, aim for larger mechs like the Unicorn/Banshee (Destroy Mode), Sazabi, Sinanju, The O, or Nu Gundam.
Cool, thanks for the info! Yeah, Banshee and Unicorn were two of the ones I was looking at, plus some of the wing ones as well.
Can anyone share the best places to get P Bandai stuff please? I'm thinking about getting an MG Hazel.
It usually depends on whoever's got it for the best price. a few guys here trust genteikits, I go through USAGundamstore.com or bigbadtoystore.com. Even Ebay sometimes. I found one seller in Hong Kong that had a pretty fair price for the 00 Seven Sword G RG and Trans-Am Exia.... (surprise btw)
Wing ones will be slightly smaller than average. Baseline Mobile Suit size across the franchise is generally about 18m, but Wing (and G and X) followed after V Gundam, and the machines were downsized to 16m. Properly scaled (Gundam kit scale can get a little floaty at times), that means a Wing kit will be around 4.5" tall.
