Definitely been on a Sunstreaker kick the past couple weeks.

 

Please don’t apologize for posting cool shots. If they show how a figure can pose we’ll, then post away. You’re absolutely right about wanting Magnus after that. If money wasn’t an issue I’d be getting him too. I think he’s still $140 shopped from amazon jp. Thanks for the pics and the advice. I have amazon gift cards and was looking for something new. My thoughts, in this order, are Hot Rod (mp28), Skywarp, or Ultra Magnus. And really Skywarp is just to fill out the first season Decepticons. Having Starscream already, Skywarp doesn’t excite me too much

 

Yeah, Ultra Magnus was reissued twice already, so you shouldn't have to worry about big markups even if you wait a while. Definitely understand about Skywarp first to complete the og jet trio. Funny how annoying it can be having an incomplete set of characters! Dying for Hoist to "complete" Grapple! I understand about not being excited about Skywarp, but good news is that he's the tightest of all six of my jets and I think he's the best looking in jet mode of the original trio. Man, though, I think you're really in for a treat when you get to Magnus!

 

Limited posing, ugly butt flap, but boy is he amazing looking. I actually like how how out of scale he is in robot mode with everyone else. It makes it feel like the entire truck is transforming. And that face sculpt....spot on

 

Yeah, the flap's not an issue for me and he's still capable of a lot of poses! No waist swivel, of course, but the bigger bother for me is the lack of fore/aft foot articulation. Still, he can run, walk, shoot, stand and look like a badass, put his hands on his hips, and the two faces, articulated hands, Matrix chamber, and Matrix hands only add to the variety of poses available. One of the most fun to transform and one of the most playable alt modes, too!

 

Dean you should be a salesman for Takara. All your photos and the way you talk about them, I always want figures after your posts

Actually, I hope I'm not doing any depreciating here, but I think TT's stock photos have gotten sloppy lately. The poses and angles haven't been as flattering and sometimes steps are missed in transforming. Now that I think of it, this might just be for repaints, remolds, and TT Mall exclusives. I'm thinking of Prowl+, Shockwave+, and Targetmaster Hot Rod to name a few. Our own all stars like TCracker and Ricemaster should be doing those shots!

Seeing all these great photos of MP-28 has me pining for a reissue that's as tight and chrome-solid as MP-40 (but without the paint chips on the face that mine came with  )

 

Are you sure? That pic doesn’t show him in the trailer- I could have sworn reading he is too wide to fit in the trailer when he was first released and discussed on these boards

 

All I remember is he doesn't roll onto 22's trailer, you have to place him in from the side. Don't have MP-10's trailer with me here to check, but I'm sure someone else can confirm this.

 

I can't wait to contribute to this thread again - ordered MP-11 Starscream, may arrive on Friday!

 

Its a good figure, however my figure’s cockpit is loose in robot mode. Not sure if im mistranforming or it was designed that way

 

It's been challenging to focus on work this past couple of days, what with the clear photos of MP Convoy/Prime v3 and all. Makes me want to just play with my MP collection, take some cool photos, and share the appreciation.

Nice to have a thread like this to get away from all the fighting. Speaking of fighting...

I'm looking forward to setting this up again with V3 when he's out.
