Seriously why would some of you care about the continuity? I thought some of you hate cinematic universes. Just give me a good movie. I mean Logan was a movie that stands on its own as a possible future of what happens after DOFP. *Some of the Marvel movies also have worked without scripts such as Iron Man.
as long as it retcon's anything past the 1st trilogy out of canon, I'm good and hey they kinda look like G1
Heck I watch Wonder Woman and just pretend like the rest of the DCEU movies don't even exist. If Bumblebee does turn out to be a great movie I think it shouldn't be a problem to just ignore the other Transformers movies.
I'm not voting, as I'm thinking of both of the options combined. What I'd like is something akin to the MCU. Honestly, I feel like GOTG would be my idea for a TF film's layout of solo spinoffs. You have a small group that handles a noticeable, but not universe destroying threat. Then you see the groups come together to defeat a Council of worlds threat. I feel like IDW's layout of comics would translate well in screen. A reboot that focuses on the smaller stories, instead of Earth shattering threats every film. Just my two cents.
That's the idea. It's the same thing with video games. The new God of War can be played without the player needing to play the old Greek mythology ones.
"You've got people out there who need you. This is why you're here, Bee..." Finally, an enemy more foreboding than Decepticons; franchise direction!
Reboot, I am a huge fan of transformers, I like movies with them, but probably only because I like the subject matter. However, when it comes to the evaluation of all "transformers" films, it is an extremely poor series. I really hope that they will make a movie worthy of transformers.
